Mr. Tran Quang Khoa, Deputy Director of the Department of Health, shared: “Looking back at previous years, the quality of medical examination and treatment at hospitals, especially provincial hospitals, has been improved thanks to investment in equipment and application of information technology. The application of new techniques and specialized treatment has initially achieved good results. Notably, the Provincial General Hospital has deployed many specialized techniques such as: interventional cardiology, cancer treatment, stroke treatment, hip replacement surgery; the Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital has performed advanced pediatric resuscitation, advanced obstetrics and gynecology; district hospitals practice endoscopic surgery. In general, compared to before, the quality of medical service provision in Ca Mau province has changed very positively.”

At the meeting to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day (February 27, 1955 - February 27, 2025), Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Ho Hai hoped that the local health system would continue to thoroughly grasp Uncle Ho's teachings, considering them as a guideline for action and a consistent motto of the entire health sector.

Along with that, we must constantly strive to study to improve our professional qualifications. We need to improve the capacity of the medical sector, focus on preventive medicine, effectively prevent diseases early and from a distance in the community, especially effectively control some infectious diseases locally and prevent new infectious diseases that are at risk of entering the province.

In addition, strengthen research, development and replication of satellite hospital models, continue to receive and transfer specialized treatment techniques from high-quality hospitals... along with improving the quality of medical services to attract people to examine and treat diseases locally.
