On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the Truth National Political Publishing House launched the book "Imprints of the August Revolution 1945" edited by Nguyen Thai Binh . This book not only vividly recreates the revolutionary spirit of the historic autumn, but also provides an in-depth look at the magnitude of this momentous event.

Hồi ký "Gia đình, bạn bè và đất nước" của nguyên Chủ tịch nước Nguyễn Thị Bình đã tạo nên một "cơn sốt" đối với giới trẻ.
The memoir "Family, Friends and Country" by former President Nguyen Thi Binh has created a "fever" among young people.

Carefully compiled from many valuable sources such as the Complete Party Documents, articles from the National Salvation Newspaper, Truth, Independence, along with memoirs, speeches and letters of revolutionaries, intellectuals, journalists and the masses, the book has two main chapters.

Chapter one: "Historical milestones", a collection of core documents such as the Appeal of the Indochinese Communist Party, Military Order No. 1, Proclamation of the establishment of the Provisional Government, and Declaration of Independence drafted by President Ho Chi Minh .

Chapter two: "Unforgettable years", records the memories and recollections of historical witnesses, writers and journalists about the historic autumn days, creating a vivid and realistic picture of the nation's spirit and spirit during these decisive years.

With a rich documentary and epic style, the book not only helps readers understand the reasons for victory and the historical significance of the event, but also inspires reflection on the responsibility of today's generation in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

In addition, the Truth National Political Publishing House also continues to launch and republish many valuable books to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South. Books such as "Ho Chi Minh City - Hour Zero", "The Great Victory of Spring 1975", "The Fall of the Republic of Vietnam" and "Letter to the South" not only record historical milestones but also help readers feel more deeply about the uncompromising fight for independence and freedom.

We also cannot fail to mention the memoirs of former Vice President Nguyen Thi Binh such as "Family, Friends and Country", or the new publication "Heart for the Country". If "Family, Friends and Country" caused a "fever" when selling nearly 50,000 copies in a short time, "Heart for the Country" continues to receive strong attention from readers, especially young people with its profound humanistic message, calling for dedication and service to the Fatherland.

In addition to the Truth National Political Publishing House, other publishers have also noted special interest from readers in history books. Specifically, Ho Chi Minh City General Publishing House republished "Pham Xuan An - The name of a person like a life" and Nha Nam published "From Ben Hai River to Independence Palace", a memoir by Major General Hoang Dan, which sold more than 6,000 copies in the first month. These works not only serve the purpose of learning about history but are also a strong source of inspiration for the younger generation, helping them to better understand the spirit of solidarity and the indomitable will of the nation.

For Tre Publishing House, anniversaries such as the Dien Bien Phu Victory or the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh are also opportunities for new works to be released or republished, such as the "Ho Chi Minh Heritage" series and the intelligence novel "The Flipped Card Game", inspired by the life of intelligence hero Pham Ngoc Thao, helping readers deeply feel the influence and resilient spirit of the nation.

Not only playing an important role in preserving national memories, history books have also become an effective tool in connecting the past and the present. Social media platforms such as Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube have contributed to spreading historical stories through book introduction videos, documentary images, and online exchanges.

Thanks to this method of transmission, historical stories that seemed dry have become more vivid, closer and more accessible to young people. The combination of profound content values and modern communication methods is opening up a new direction for Vietnamese history books, both preserving national memories and inspiring today's and future generations.
