Mr. Vo Nhu Dao, Deputy Director of Quang Nam Lottery Company Limited, said that it was an unexpected incident, due to a mistake by the lottery staff. “At the time of the special prize drawing, the staff in 6th position drew the ball number 2, but when he picked up the number plate to hold up, he picked up the wrong plate number 5. Based on the name plate that the staff held up, the announcer read the number 5, leading to this mistake. However, after discovering that he had taken the wrong plate number, the staff in 6th position changed plate number 5 to number 2,” Mr. Dao informed.

“Immediately after the special prize results were announced, the company issued the exact prize according to the drawing round as 923352. However, many websites hastily quoted the announcer's first reading as 923355 without checking the company's subsequent written announcement of the winning prize,” Mr. Dao explained.
