The iPhone 15 Pro Max is rated by experts as having a better processor chip, but the "Apple" smartphone is only equipped with 8GB of RAM, while the Galaxy S23 Ultra has two memory options: 8GB and 12GB of RAM, which in theory will help the Galaxy S23 Ultra outperform in multitasking capabilities.

However, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is equipped with NVMe standard storage, which in theory will provide faster data retrieval speeds than the UFS 4.0 memory standard on the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

The iPhone 15 Pro Max also has a slight advantage in processing speed when using the iOS platform optimized by Apple for iPhone. The iPhone 15 Pro Max's screen also has a lower resolution than the Galaxy S23 Ultra, which means it will take less time to process graphics.

So when comparing the actual processing speed between these two high-end smartphones, which product will win? To find the answer, the Youtube channel PhoneBuff made a video to compare the processing speed of the two products when running the same tasks.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra version used by PhoneBuff for this comparison is equipped with 12GB of RAM, which is larger than the 8GB of RAM equipped on the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

To ensure the fairness of its test, PhoneBuff used a specialized robotic arm to simultaneously open the same apps on the iPhone 15 Pro Max and Galaxy S23 Ultra.

Once an application is launched, the robot arm will automatically return to the home screen of the two smartphones to activate the next application and so on until it has run all 16 different applications, including social networking applications, games, e-commerce applications, and office processing applications...

After activating all 16 pre-prepared apps, PhoneBuff will calculate the total time it takes for both the iPhone 15 Pro Max and Galaxy S23 Ultra to finish running all the apps. Then, the robot arm will start activating the previously launched apps again to check the multitasking speed on each product.

The final results showed that the Galaxy S23 Ultra took just over 2 minutes to launch all 16 apps the first time, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max took just over 1 minute and 58 seconds to do so. In round 2, the iPhone 15 Pro Max took just 46 seconds and 90 seconds to reopen all the apps, while the Galaxy S23 Ultra took 49 seconds to do the same.

In the end, the iPhone 15 Pro Max completely defeated its competitor, taking only a total of 2 minutes and 45 seconds with 40 stars to complete the test, while the Galaxy S23 Ultra needed 2 minutes and 49 seconds with 50 stars to complete.

Although the difference in processing time between these two smartphones is not too big, this result also shows that Apple is not exaggerating about the processing performance of the A17 Pro chip equipped on the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
