Super Typhoon Yagi: Ministry of Information and Communications directs to be ready for roaming between mobile networks

The army mobilized 403 special vehicles and 6 aircraft, ready to fight super typhoon No. 3 (typhoon Yagi).

This is the direction of the Ministry of Information and Communications in the telegram sent to the Department of Information and Communications of 24 provinces and cities, along with units in the industry, on proactively responding to super typhoon Yagi (super typhoon No. 3).

Telecommunications businesses focus on reinforcing all stations, high masts, antenna masts of radio stations, radio receivers, transmission systems and peripheral networks that are likely to be affected by storms and floods. Timely supplement backup equipment on the network such as power sources, generators, generator fuel, batteries for units in the area expected to be directly affected by storms and floods. Be ready to send storm and flood warning messages to subscribers in the area that are likely to be affected as required by the ministry; be ready to roam between mobile networks.

Postal enterprises review the postal mail system and develop plans to ensure postal information security to serve the direction and operation of response to super typhoon Yagi and floods.

Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT), Military Industry and Telecommunications Group (Viettel) and MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation were assigned to strengthen and supplement mobile BTS stations and mobile information vehicles to be ready to respond in case of information interruption due to the impact of super typhoon Yagi.
