After merging with the Department of Construction, most of the functions and tasks of the Department will remain the same, except for the state management of testing and issuing driving licenses (GPLX) which will be handed over to the Provincial Police.

In order to effectively carry out the newly assigned tasks in the field of driving license testing and issuance, the officers and soldiers of the Provincial Police have been trained by teachers of the Provincial Driver Training and Testing Center and instructed on the implementation of the following contents: Legal regulations on driving license testing; documents regulating the organization of testing; driver's insurance when testing drivers on public roads; instructions on driving skills on highways; procedures for organizing and implementing testing courses, tasks of driving license examiners; operations on using software to manage testing and issue driving licenses; tasks of examiners in the testing sections...
