According to information from the Traffic Safety Committee of Quang Tri province, during the National Day holiday from August 31 to September 3, the authorities increased patrols and detected and handled 621 cases of traffic safety violations.

Specifically, the provincial traffic police force organized 194 patrols with 839 officers and soldiers participating. Thereby, 621 cases of violations of road and railway traffic safety were detected and handled, of which 172 cases were handled by the Provincial Traffic Police Department and 449 cases were handled by the Traffic Police of districts, towns and cities; 122 driving licenses were revoked, 147 motorbikes and 3 cars were temporarily detained.

Notably, among the violations, there were 89 cases of alcohol concentration violations; 118 vehicles violated speed; 1 driver had drugs in his body.

The number of traffic accidents during the September 2 holiday this year did not increase or decrease; the number of deaths due to traffic accidents decreased compared to the same period in 2023. Specifically, from August 31 to September 3, the whole province had 1 traffic accident, killing 1 person and injuring 1 person.
