On the evening of April 9, the 8th Vietnam International Choir Competition - 2025 will open at Hoi An Theater. The program will be broadcast live on Quang Nam Radio and Television.

This is a unique cultural and artistic event organized every two years by Hoi An city in collaboration with the Interkultur Association (Federal Republic of Germany).

The 8th Vietnam International Choir Competition is expected to have 32 choirs from 10 countries and territories with nearly 1,000 artists competing in 11 subjects. After the opening ceremony, from April 10-12, the competition will take place with many categories such as: Mixed choir, youth choir, youth choir, middle-aged choir, hymn choir, religious choir, folk choir...

Within the framework of the event, there will also be programs: International choir performance on the street with the theme "International Melody"; street art exchange between choirs with people and tourists on the streets; music - culinary exchange.

The 8th Vietnam International Choir Competition - Hoi An 2025 is an opportunity to introduce to the people and tourists the unique values ​​of the art form of choral singing, a music festival for artists to exchange, share and learn experiences in the process of artistic creation, contributing to the development of advanced Vietnamese art imbued with national identity.

This event is of great significance, demonstrating Hoi An’s commitment to promoting creativity in many fields when joining the UNESCO Creative Cities Network; at the same time meeting the increasing demand for music and cultural enjoyment of local people and tourists.
