Hong An Ward (Hai Phong City) has made a strong transformation in the field of education.

Attending the conference were Ms. Tran Thu Hang - Head of the Department of Primary and Preschool Education , Department of Education and Training. Delegates from Hong An ward included Mr. Do Viet Hung, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Ward People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Huu Thanh, Chairman of the Ward People's Committee and leaders and experts of affiliated departments and offices.

Hong An Ward, Hai Phong City has a synchronous and reasonable education network, including all levels of education from preschool, primary to secondary school. The ward has 22 schools, of which 14 are public schools.

The educational and training achievements of Hong An ward have clearly changed in the last school year.

The 2024-2025 school year is especially important in the roadmap for general education reform, implementing the 2018 General Education Program for grades 5 and 9. To carry out educational tasks, the ward focuses on building and nurturing a team of teachers with strong ideology, politics and professional expertise. In addition, the ward focuses on investing in renovating the school environment to be safe, green, clean and beautiful.

Last school year, schools in the area have constantly innovated and made professional efforts to improve the quality of care, nurturing and education. This is reflected in the quality of mass education and key education. In the Excellent Student Competition, with cultural subjects, the whole ward had 129 students winning district-level prizes; 13 students won city-level prizes. In addition, in competitions in conjunction with the Department of Education and Training, the ward had 33 students winning district-level prizes and 6 city-level prizes. In addition, students at schools have strived to compete in integration, regional and international competitions with 557 prizes.

The results of the 10th grade entrance exam have made a breakthrough with Quan Toan Secondary School rising to 23rd place, An Hung Secondary School ranked 25th out of 189 secondary schools; the percentage of 9th grade students passing the 10th grade exam reached 88.87%.

Activities on moral education, life skills, school violence prevention, and sex education are focused on, contributing to building a positive, friendly, and safe school environment.

The 2024-2025 school year ended with new steps and successes: 2 groups proposed the Ministry of Education and Training to award Certificates of Merit; 4 groups achieved excellent labor; 2 groups and 32 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the City People's Committee; 3 individuals achieved the title of City-level Emulation Fighter... Entering the 2025-2026 school year, the Hong An Ward Education and Training Department continues to promote the tradition of studiousness, promote innovation and creativity, and strive to build a comprehensive, substantial and developed education system.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Huu Thanh, Chairman of the Ward People's Committee, emphasized that in the upcoming 2025-2026 school year, the education sector will have many requirements for innovation, especially the synchronous implementation of the new general education program, strengthening life skills education, moral education, as well as promoting digital transformation, developing digital capacity, and promoting the application of AI intelligence. To achieve comprehensive results, the Department of Social Culture and schools must closely follow the direction of the Ward Party Committee, promote the achieved results, overcome difficulties, and propose fundamental, focused, and key tasks and solutions.
