The Provincial People's Committee has just issued urgent document No. 1539/UBND-KGVX on the evening of April 3, 2025 on the implementation of the Special Announcement of the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front on the State funeral of former President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Khamtay Siphandone.

Accordingly, during the two days of National Mourning (April 4 - April 5, 2025), agencies and offices in Phu Tho province will fly flags at half-mast. Agencies, units, organizations, individuals, and entertainment establishments will stop or postpone organizing art programs and public entertainment activities in the province.

In particular, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (the Standing Agency of the Organizing Committee of the Hung Kings' Commemoration Anniversary and the Cultural - Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land in the year of At Ty 2025), the Hung Temple Historical Relic Site, the People's Committees of districts, towns, cities and agencies, units, organizations, individuals, and entertainment establishments stop, postpone or postpone the organization of public art, entertainment and recreation activities within the framework of the Cultural - Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land in the year of At Ty 2025 approved in Plan No. 414/KH-UBND dated January 24, 2025 of the Provincial People's Committee; widely notify the People and tourists to know and implement.

Accordingly, based on this document, Phu Tho temporarily suspends, postpones, and delays public entertainment activities during the Cultural - Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land. In particular, the Viet Tri Open Rowing Tournament will be postponed to 7:00 a.m. on April 6 (ie March 9 of the lunar calendar) instead of the morning of April 5 (ie March 8 of the lunar calendar) as planned.
