In recent times, Regiment 20 has had many outstanding achievements in military and defense work, being one of the leading units in the Emulation Movement for Victory of Division 330 and the armed forces of Military Region 9. The overall quality, combat readiness level of the unit has been constantly improved; the Party Committee is exemplary in its cleanness and strength, the unit is comprehensively strong "Exemplary, exemplary"; for many consecutive years it has been recognized as a well-trained unit and has effectively carried out mass mobilization work, being a reliable support for people in the border area.

Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan acknowledged and commended the achievements of Regiment 20; at the same time, requested the unit to continue to proactively grasp the situation, strictly maintain combat readiness. Regularly pay attention to directing the improvement of training and drill quality; build discipline, comply with military discipline and state laws; improve overall quality, combat strength, well meet the requirements and assigned tasks.

With the characteristics of a unit located in the border area, the Vice President requested Regiment 20 to further strengthen the work of mobilizing the masses, actively helping people prevent and overcome the consequences of natural disasters, epidemics, search and rescue; promote the emulation movement "Armed forces of the Military Region join hands to build new countryside", the campaign "Armed forces of the Military Region join hands for the poor, leaving no one behind" associated with the good implementation of the Army's rear policy... to further strengthen the relationship of solidarity between the army and the people, build a "people's heart position" and an increasingly solid defense area, contributing to protecting the safety of the southwestern border of the Fatherland.

Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan said that the Party, State and people always have special affection, firm trust and always care and look after building the Vietnam People's Army in general, and the armed forces of Military Region 9 in particular, to always be a revolutionary, disciplined, elite, modern army; politically strong, absolutely loyal to the Fatherland, the Party, the State and the people.
