
Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu and the delegation visited the family of Mr. Pham Ngoc Hau in Nghi Phu commune, Vinh city. Mr. Pham Ngoc Hau, born in 1950, is a Catholic and joined the battlefield at the age of 17. He himself was both a direct victim and a 2/4 class disabled veteran with a leg amputated, with a disability of 62%.
Mr. Pham Ngoc Hau has two children who are victims of Agent Orange and are in very serious health conditions. His family situation is extremely difficult, his wife and son are being treated in the hospital.

Next, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu and the delegation visited the family of Mr. Nguyen Khanh Nha in Le Mao ward, Vinh city. Mr. Nha joined the army in 1971, fought in the Quang Tri battlefield, was a war invalid and a victim of Agent Orange.
His family has 4 children who are all affected by Agent Orange, among them his son Nguyen Khanh Son is mentally ill and often destroys things, the family always has to use chains to keep him in place.
At the families he visited, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu kindly asked about and encouraged the families to make efforts to overcome difficulties, improve their lives, and take good care of those infected with Agent Orange.

Although the war has ended, the pain of Agent Orange still lingers. Every day, every hour, the victims are struggling with the after-effects and serious illnesses caused by dioxin. The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee said that the Party, State and people are always grateful and appreciate the sacrifices and losses of wounded and sick soldiers, and share with those infected with Agent Orange due to the war.
In recent times, Party committees and authorities at all levels have always paid special attention to families of policy beneficiaries and people with meritorious services, with the desire to express gratitude, share and encourage families of policy beneficiaries and people with meritorious services who are in difficult circumstances.
Through listening to the families' sharing about their daily lives, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu expressed his appreciation for their optimistic and resilient spirit, always promoting the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers to overcome pain; always being a solid support for their families, children and grandchildren and together building a better life.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu requested that local Party committees, authorities, and mass organizations regularly visit, support, encourage, and create favorable conditions for families of Agent Orange victims in the area to improve their lives. Thereby, contributing to the effective implementation of social security policies.
