This morning, February 14, together with localities across the province, Vinh Linh district solemnly organized the 2025 military enlistment ceremony. Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang; Deputy Chief of Politics of Military Region 4, Major General Phan Van Sy attended the ceremony.

In 2025, Vinh Linh district has 191 citizens joining the army, including 148 young people performing military service and 43 young people performing public security service.

At the ceremony, delegates presented flowers and gifts to congratulate and encourage the new recruits to continue promoting the heroic tradition of their homeland Quang Tri, compete in good training, actively strive, cultivate and practice to constantly progress and mature in all aspects, and successfully complete the task of building and defending the Fatherland.

In 2025, Quang Tri province was assigned the target and selected 1,320 citizens (1,317 male citizens, 3 female citizens) to join the military service and the people's police. Of which, 1,002 citizens joined the army in the following military units: General Department of Engineering, Provincial Border Guard Command (under the Ministry of National Defense); Special Forces Brigade 198 (under the Special Forces); Division 324, Information Brigade 80 (under Military Region 4), Hanoi Capital Command and Quang Tri Provincial Military Command and 318 citizens joined the service in the people's police force.

The new feature in this year's military recruitment is the first year of implementing military service examinations according to Circular No. 105/2023/TT-BQP of the Ministry of National Defense on regulations on health standards and health examinations for subjects under the management of the Ministry of National Defense, contributing to improving the quality of military recruitment, limiting compensation after military service, towards the goal of building a regular, elite, and gradually modern army.

To complete the 2025 military recruitment target with high quality and strictness, the localities sending soldiers and the units receiving soldiers have proactively coordinated well, carried out public, democratic and legal selection according to the motto "whoever is recruited, that person is sure".

Localities are proactive in reviewing and grasping sources as well as promoting propaganda about the task of building and defending the Fatherland among all classes of people.

This year's military recruitment results show that citizens with health class 1 and 2 reached 75%; citizens with high school degrees reached 66%; university and college degrees reached 9.1%; and party members reached 4.79%, higher than in 2024.
