Promoting Nghe An's educational achievements in the new context

In the past school year, the education sector continued to receive attention, support and regular direction from the Ministry of Education and Training , the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and the companionship of provincial departments, branches, and local authorities. From there, it created momentum for the province's education movement to continue to develop and achieve many outstanding results, affirming its position in terms of education quality nationwide.

In the 2024-2025 school year, Nghe An's education sector achieved many brilliant achievements. Students at all levels won many awards and medals at national competitions and tournaments, demonstrating the harmonious development between key education and mass education. Notably, in the 2025 High School Graduation Exam, Nghe An led 34 provinces and cities nationwide with a median score of 52.92.

Regarding the results of national excellent student exams and international Olympiads, the region is among the top in the country. For the first time, Nghe An won 7 regional and international medals, including 4 Gold Medals and 3 Silver Medals in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Russian. The whole province has 96 national excellent students.

In the past year, the education sector has also done a good job of advising and planning educational policies such as establishing Nghe An University - a new step forward in the province's higher education system; Issuing important resolutions and projects such as the Resolution on developing education in mountainous and ethnic areas; Project on education development for the period up to 2030, vision 2045; feasible and strategic plans for the school year.

Deploying tasks in the context of two-level local government

The upcoming 2025-2026 school year takes place in a special context, when the Party and State have many important policies and guidelines for the education sector.

At the conference, Mr. Thai Van Thanh - Director of Nghe An Department of Education and Training discussed contents related to education management when implementing 2-level local government for commune level. According to Mr. Thai Van Thanh, the first element to approach in education management is the educational goal. The current educational goal is to improve the quality of teaching and learning, towards developing the comprehensive capacity of learners.

Second is the educational content, including the educational program, school program, and teaching and learning tasks. Next is the teaching staff - this is the key factor, deciding the quality of teaching as well as innovation in education and training.

According to the director of the Nghe An Department of Education and Training, students are the center of the teaching and learning process. Schools need to innovate teaching methods, apply digital technology and AI to teaching and school management, and promote the initiative and leadership of learners. Regarding education leaders, they hope that local authorities will pay attention to investing in facilities, equipment and teaching facilities of schools.

At the conference, delegates also shared their presentations on key solutions for the 2025-2026 school year in the context of implementing two-level local government; orientations for arranging teaching staff; vocational training and education; life skills education, awareness of law compliance for students, etc.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee affirmed that this is a very important conference with many delegates attending for the first time. This will be an opportunity for officials in charge of education and training in communes to listen and share about the tasks in the new period.

The results achieved reflect the concerns, dedication and efforts of teachers and schools, bringing Nghe An education sector to continue its position in the top of the country.

Entering the new school year - the first year of implementing the 2-level local government model, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the education sector to rearrange the school system, reduce the number of separate schools, rearrange vocational schools, and research and advise on the use of facilities of the headquarters after the merger to serve educational work. In particular, special attention is paid to organizing teaching for students in schools in flood-affected areas before the new school year.

In addition, the education sector and the new government need to overcome existing shortcomings and not let any difficulties affect students' learning. During the implementation process, the commune government needs to proactively carry out tasks according to the guiding documents, implementing "6 clears" and "4 nos" in accordance with the direction of the Prime Minister.
