Strive to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses before September 2, 2025

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Provincial Party Secretary Ha Thi Nga emphasized: In recent years, with the drastic participation of the political system from the province to the grassroots level, the active participation and support of businesses, organizations, individuals, and philanthropists both inside and outside the province, and the efforts of the people, poverty reduction and support for families with housing difficulties in the province have achieved many positive results. In the period of 2021 - 2024 alone, the whole province has had over 7,000 newly built and repaired households, with a total cost of over 900 billion VND, of which socialized funding accounts for nearly 35%; contributing to reducing the poverty rate from 23.45% in 2021 to 10.19% in 2024.

On behalf of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, he acknowledged and commended the efforts of Party committees at all levels, authorities, the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, organizations, individuals, businesses inside and outside the province and the people of all ethnic groups in the province who have joined hands and contributed to effectively implementing the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the province in the past time.

Responding to the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide by 2025" launched by the Prime Minister, with the goal of "leaving no one behind", Tuyen Quang province is determined to strive to eliminate all temporary and dilapidated houses in the province before September 2, 2025.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ha Thi Nga called on agencies, units, organizations, businesses, philanthropists inside and outside the province, and the people to continue to respond, support in spirit and material, and participate in contributing with the motto "Whoever has something contributes, whoever has merit contributes, whoever has property contributes, whoever has a lot contributes a lot, whoever has a little contributes a little", to support the completion of eliminating over 6,000 temporary and dilapidated houses for households in the province in 2025.

At the same time, assign the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province to provide specific guidance on how to support, closely monitor, ensure the use of support sources for the right purposes, effectively, publicly and transparently, in accordance with legal regulations and timely support to build houses for poor households, policy households, and households with housing difficulties in the province.

He requested Party committees at all levels, authorities, the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, localities and units to uphold the spirit of responsibility, take drastic actions, and clearly assign people, tasks, time, responsibilities and results during the implementation process. Promote the role and responsibility of leaders in eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses; ensure the completion of the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses set out in 2025.

He suggested that media agencies and newspapers step up propaganda work, create broad consensus in society so that all people and the business community can support, share, and join hands to help eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. At the same time, propaganda should raise awareness, arouse the spirit of proactiveness, so that each person can clearly see that along with the support and assistance of the State and the community, the decisive factor for the success of the program is the will and determination of each person and poor household that is supported to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.

At the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Hung Vuong, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee launched and called for support for the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province. With the message "Millions of loving hearts - Thousands of happy roofs", the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tuyen Quang province launched and called on agencies, units, organizations, enterprises; cadres, civil servants, public employees, soldiers of the armed forces, workers, people from all walks of life inside and outside Tuyen Quang province and Tuyen Quang people abroad with a heart of compassion, to join hands and contribute to eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households, near-poor households, and households with meritorious services in the province.

The general target is: Cadres, civil servants, public employees, soldiers of the armed forces, those receiving salaries from the state budget, each person contributes at least one day's salary; workers and laborers contribute at least one day's income; union members, youth, and teenagers save to help at least 50 thousand VND; each household with an average or higher standard of living contributes at least 100 thousand VND; businesses contribute the highest possible level.
