On the afternoon of November 11, Nghe An Provincial Party Committee organized meetings of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Executive Committee to carry out the process of electing the Provincial Party Secretary for the 2020-2025 term.

At the Conference, the Provincial Party Executive Committee and delegates listened to the Report of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on the list of personnel introduced by the Politburo to be elected to hold the position of Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term. The Provincial Party Executive Committee proceeded to elect the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

As a result, with the absolute vote of confidence of 100% of the delegates present, Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee was elected by the Provincial Party Executive Committee to hold the position of Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term and appointed to join the Party Committee of Military Region 4 for the 2020-2025 term.

Based on the election results, the Provincial Party Committee Organizing Committee will coordinate with the Provincial Party Committee Office to complete the dossier to submit to the Central Committee for approval according to regulations.
