Prioritize safe and sustainable production
Realizing the importance of restructuring production, in recent years, the province has focused on forming concentrated, large-scale production areas, applying high technology to improve the quality and productivity of crops and livestock. One of the important highlights is to focus on developing key products with high economic value such as: vegetables, tubers, fruits of all kinds, tea, coffee, durian, dragon fruit. In addition, the province also focuses on developing dairy farming, silkworm farming, aquaculture, creating a diverse and abundant supply, meeting market demand and creating more job opportunities for rural people.
To ensure food quality and safety, the province pays special attention to developing production according to VietGAP, GlobalGAP, and organic standards. Along with that, it encourages people and businesses to apply advanced, environmentally friendly production processes, while strengthening quality control from cultivation to processing and consumption. To date, the whole province has nearly 150,000 hectares of agricultural production meeting safety and sustainable standards. Many agricultural products of Lam Dong have been certified for quality and are trusted and chosen by consumers.

Enhance the reputation of agricultural products
One of the key solutions to increase the value of agricultural products is to build a production and processing chain. Lam Dong has created favorable conditions for enterprises and cooperatives to link with farmers, forming closed supply chains, thereby improving production efficiency, reducing intermediate costs and ensuring stable output for products. A typical example is Son Farm High-Tech Agricultural Cooperative (Nam Ban Lam Ha commune), with 8 members mainly producing tomatoes, passion fruit, hydroponic lettuce on an area of over 10 hectares, of which 7 hectares are produced in greenhouses.
Mr. Nguyen Van Son - Director of the Cooperative shared: "The members of the Cooperative are implementing production according to VietGAP standards to build brands and expand markets. However, the Cooperative is currently facing difficulties in connecting with high-end consumer markets such as supermarkets, green grocery stores, etc., so we are focusing on promoting trade connection activities organized by the province to demonstrate product quality in order to find a stable and sustainable output chain for the Cooperative."
Currently, Lam Dong province is continuing to promote cooperation with Ho Chi Minh City and a number of other provinces and cities in connecting agricultural product consumption. Through trade promotion programs and exhibitions, Lam Dong has introduced and widely promoted high-quality agricultural products to consumers nationwide.
Concern for consumer protection
To protect the interests of consumers, Ms. Nguyen Thuy Quy Tu - Head of the Department of Quality, Processing and Market Development of Lam Dong province said that in recent years, the province has strengthened the inspection and control of agricultural product quality; regularly taking samples for testing, strictly handling violations of food safety. Thanks to that, the rate of agricultural product samples that do not meet quality standards has decreased significantly, from 2.39% in 2022 to 0.92% in the first 6 months of 2025.
Lam Dong also focuses on building brands and certification marks for the province’s typical agricultural products. To date, dozens of brands have been registered for protection domestically and internationally, contributing to enhancing the value and reputation of Lam Dong agricultural products in the market.
With synchronous and effective solutions, Lam Dong is striving to gradually affirm its position as the center of high-quality agricultural production in the country, aiming for a modern and sustainable agriculture.
