Joy after 10 years of waiting for the road

On March 20, Phu Tho Newspaper published an article “Waiting for the Road” reflecting the serious deterioration of the residential road in Lane 1, Phan Lang Street (2nd lane of Nguyen Tat Thanh Street) after many years and being “forgotten” by the government even though the local people had paid enough for the infrastructure. Up to now, the new road has been completed, meeting the wishes and expectations of the people for a new, clean, beautiful and safe road.

From a seriously degraded main road, muddy in the rainy season and dusty in the dry season, causing difficulties and potential dangers for people, lane 1 Phan Lang street (crossing 2 Nguyen Tat Thanh street, from Le Hien car garage to An Phat motel) now has a completely new look. The suffering of people, especially students and the elderly, every time they travel on a road full of "buffalo and chicken potholes" has become a thing of the past.

The newly completed road strengthens people's trust in the local government.

This route was born since the first households moved here in 2013. At that time, the households here paid the infrastructure construction fee to the resettlement area to the People's Committee of Viet Tri City (old) with the amount of 96,600,000 VND/plot of land. However, for the past 10 years, the minimum infrastructure of the route has not been "looked at" even once. In 2014, the first petitions were sent. Every time there was a meeting, people discussed, encouraged, and strengthened their determination. In 10 years, 9 petitions were sent to the authorities at all levels, each of which expressed the people's legitimate requests for the new route.

With the strong direction of the People's Committee of Viet Tri City (old), the road upgrade project has been approved and implemented. On April 11, the Chairman of the People's Committee of the city (old) issued Decision No. 1488/QD-UBND on approving the project: Building public green landscapes and improving drainage systems in some areas in the city. Including the construction of a road in the resettlement area of Go Na, Van Phu Ward (Zone 7, Van Phu Ward) according to the wishes of the people.

People could hardly hide their joy when the new, clean and beautiful road was completed.

The new road was started on June 25 and by August 11, the pavement was completed, the road surface was flat and clean. Residents no longer have to worry about stagnant water and slippery conditions during heavy rains, or the dangers of potholes.

The residential road not only connects traffic but also contributes to strengthening people's trust in the government. In a thank you letter sent to the Party Committee, the local government and the local press, the people affirmed: "This is also the result of effective coordination between the government, the people and social units, and is an encouragement for us to continue to accompany the movements to build our homeland."
