These days, Tran Dang Hoang Yen (22 years old, from Soc Trang) and Cao Thi Thao Linh (21 years old, from Gia Lai), students of the People's Police University, are training hard with 250 female soldiers at the parade command center of the police force in Dong Nai.

Journey to become female block leader

Tran Dang Hoang Yen is studying Police Investigation. To become the female Traffic Police Chief in the parade, this 1m72 tall girl has undergone many months of challenging training with a resilient spirit.

Yen said: "When I was chosen to participate in the parade, I set high goals for myself, wanting to represent the role model of a female police officer. This is an opportunity for me to show my love and pride for the Fatherland."

Admitting that the greatest pressure comes from herself, she constantly practices to fulfill this honor.

"As the person in charge of the independent block leader, I must have precise movement techniques to the beat of the music and exemplary behavior for the whole block to follow," Hoang Yen shared more.

Similarly, Cao Thi Thao Linh - a student majoring in Police Investigation, also 1m72 tall, takes on the role of female head of the Special Police Department. To achieve this position, she went through a rigorous training process.

"For me, becoming a female block leader is a great honor, but it also comes with great responsibility. I am very proud to be in the ranks of female police officers, contributing a small part to this historic event," Linh shared.

The rigorous training sessions and concentrated training sessions did not discourage her, but on the contrary, made her more determined to conquer this challenge.

“The group leader must perform the most precise hand and foot movements, facial expressions and attitudes. In every practice session, I try to perfect every detail,” Linh shared.

The two female block leaders were proud to participate in the parade celebrating the 50th anniversary of national reunification, demonstrating the maturity of the generation of police officers, especially young female officers.

Continuing the tradition of the police force

To become excellent female block leaders in the parade, Yen and Linh not only demonstrated their talent but also overcame many harsh challenges.

Yen said she is responsible for gathering and directing the members of the group. “This is an opportunity for me to demonstrate my ability and the pride of the female traffic police officers in particular and the police force in general,” Yen said.

Linh said that during her training, she was under a lot of pressure to maintain her health and fitness. However, she always found motivation from her teammates and coaches who were from the previous generation.

“I always tell myself that if I don’t try, I will never have the opportunity to show myself. Being able to participate in the parade is a source of pride and I will not let myself fail,” Linh said.

Wearing police uniforms, Yen and Linh affirmed that participating in the parade is an important stepping stone in their careers, and at the same time an opportunity to contribute to the country and the people.

Captain Nguyen Manh Hung, an officer of the Student Management Department of the People's Police University, said that the school has more than 600 students participating in the parade. In particular, the two female leaders of the Traffic Police and Special Police are students who always try to improve their physical strength and techniques to perfect their movements in the most accurate way.

“In addition to training hours on the training ground, the two female unit leaders also practice wearing weights to improve their physical strength and perfect their eye contact, gestures, as well as how to salute, walk at attention, and walk in sync,” Captain Hung shared.
