From March 1, 2025, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) Region 4 will officially operate under the new model according to Decision No. 304/QD-NHNN dated February 24, 2025 of the Governor of the SBV.

Despite the large workload and short transition time, the Board of Directors and civil servants of the State Bank of Vietnam Region 4 have made efforts to synchronously deploy solutions to maintain stable and effective operations right from the first days of operation.

In the initial stage, civil servants inevitably encountered certain difficulties due to changes in organizational models, working conditions, expanded management areas and increased workload. However, with a high sense of responsibility and consensus of all civil servants of the branch, initial difficulties were gradually resolved, stabilized and put into order.

By the end of March 2025, the total mobilized capital in the 6 provinces reached over 393 trillion VND; outstanding loans to the economy reached over 442 trillion VND. The bad debt ratio was controlled at 0.83%, ensuring it was within the safety threshold and within the control of credit institutions. The capital mobilization and lending targets all achieved encouraging results compared to the end of 2024.

The above results have affirmed the close coordination and direction role of the Board of Directors and key leaders of the State Bank of Vietnam Region 4 right from the beginning. Inspection and supervision work continues to be maintained, promptly detecting and handling existing problems in local banking operations. Payment services are implemented seriously, ensuring liquidity and timely support for credit institutions in the area. Proactively implementing cash supply, regulating cash circulation to serve socio-economic development. In particular, the facilities at the headquarters of the State Bank of Vietnam Region 4 are invested in spacious and modern, creating favorable conditions for civil servants to perform their duties as well as improving the quality of service for credit institutions and customers.

The transaction lobby area of ​​the State Bank of Vietnam, Area 4, is scientifically and friendlyly arranged, meeting the professional requirements and image of a State management agency on currency and banking activities.

Along with maintaining stable and smooth operations, the State Bank of Vietnam Region 4 has quickly consolidated its organization, developed and issued a Decision regulating the functions and tasks of its affiliated units; a Decision promulgating Working Regulations; a Decision on assigning tasks to the Board of Directors, Department Heads and equivalents according to regulations; assigning specific tasks to officers and employees of departments; arranging personnel in a streamlined and effective manner. Developing regulations and working processes in line with the new model; enhancing the application of information technology in direction and operation; ensuring that information, reporting and coordination between departments are carried out promptly and effectively.

Notably, in March 2025, the State Bank of Region 4 coordinated with the Department of Credit for Economic Sectors and related units to successfully organize the Conference "Promoting Banking Sector Credit to Contribute to Economic Growth in Region 4". The Conference is an important forum to assess the credit situation in the provinces in the region, identify difficulties and propose solutions to promote credit flows into production and business, supporting economic growth.

In addition, SBV Region 4 also pays special attention to Party and trade union building and cares for the lives of civil servants, thereby stabilizing the ideology of the staff, having a positive attitude, responsibility and dedication to work. On the occasion of the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day on March 8, the Board of Directors organized a meeting to congratulate female staff, expressing concern and recognizing the important contributions of the female staff to the overall development of the branch.

In the coming time, the State Bank of Region 4 will continue to improve its organizational structure, improve the quality of its staff, enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of state management of currency and banking activities, contributing to the successful implementation of the banking sector's tasks in the new period./.
