The series of "Customer Appreciation" activities of Quang Tri Power Company (PC Quang Tri) taking place in January 2024 demonstrated the precious feelings and special recognition of the staff and workers of the electricity industry towards electricity customers through business activities, customer service and social security work.

This year's "Customer Appreciation" activity coincides with the New Year of the Dragon 2024, so PC Quang Tri has advocated organizing community-oriented activities, focusing on supporting people in difficult areas to help them have a more complete and decent Tet. PC Quang Tri Youth Union coordinated with the Youth Union of Quang Tri Petroleum Company to organize the program "Spring of Love, Tet of Sharing" in Ta Pang village, Huong Lap commune, Huong Hoa district.

Through the program, the youth of the two units gave 31 gifts, worth 300,000 VND each, to poor families in the village, and also donated many clothes to children, with a total value of more than 10 million VND.

Mr. Ho Van Xung happily said: "People in Ta Pang village have had many difficulties in life for a long time, but this year, some poor households received gifts from businesses. People are very happy because they have money to shop for Tet, and have a better Tet than every year."

It is known that Ta Pang village has 150 people of Van Kieu ethnic group, is the last village of Huong Lap commune bordering Vietnam-Laos border, the road is very difficult to travel. With the characteristic of mountainous terrain with many rugged hills, sparse population, the economic conditions and essential living of the people here are still limited. Through the program "Spring of love, Tet sharing" this time, PC Quang Tri shared, encouraged the spirit, brought joy to the people in the highlands, contributing to helping people have a warmer Tet.

Khe Sanh Power Company Director Phan Gia Duong said that the unit's "Customer Gratitude" activities this year focus on promoting propaganda to people about safe, economical and efficient use of electricity, especially using electricity during the Lunar New Year; at the same time, conducting free electricity repairs for some households in difficult circumstances in Ta Pang village, Huong Lap commune, Huong Hoa district by checking power lines, replacing circuit breakers for free, providing instructions on safe and economical use of electricity and not planting trees near power lines that cause unsafety.

Also in the "Customer Appreciation" program, through volunteer activities towards the community, PC Quang Tri cooperated with Hai Lang District Youth Union to organize the program "Spring of Love - Lighting up the dreams of Vietnamese children" in 2024, giving 5 gifts worth 2.5 million VND to 5 students in difficult circumstances at Thien Thanh Primary and Secondary School (Hai Dinh commune, Hai Lang district).

Among the students who received gifts from PC Quang Tri this time, there are 3 students with especially difficult circumstances, namely Tran Thi Linh Nhi whose mother had a work accident and whose father is unemployed, Le Van Nhat An and Hoang Thi Thao Nguyen who are both orphans, have many siblings and live in difficult circumstances. Through the gifts, we aim to encourage and motivate them to overcome difficulties and excel in their studies, while also bringing joy to their families during the spring and Tet holiday.

Every year, on the occasion of the New Year, PC Quang Tri visits and gives Tet gifts to children in difficult circumstances who are being cared for at the Dong Ha City Street Children's Center and the Quang Tri School for Disabled Children.

This year, the company donated 20 million VND to support the Dong Ha City Street Children's Center and gave 12 gifts to 12 children living and studying at the center, each gift worth 500,000 VND, and gave 20 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, to children at the Quang Tri Province School for Disabled Children. These are meaningful annual social security activities of PC Quang Tri staff and employees under the motto "Each individual and organization is associated with a humanitarian address" that the company has actively responded to over the years.

Vice President of the Quang Tri PC Union Nguyen Thi Dieu Thuy said that this is a regular activity of Quang Tri PC to share the difficulties of poor students who have overcome difficulties, workers in difficult circumstances, and families with preferential policies in difficult circumstances during the coming of Tet and spring.

With the motto “a piece when hungry is worth a package when full”, especially during Tet or the lean season, the Union often organizes volunteer trips to visit, give gifts and support people in difficult circumstances. Through humanitarian charity activities, it has contributed to encouraging and helping people in difficult circumstances overcome immediate obstacles and strive to improve their lives.
