The provinces of the Viet Bac region including Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Lang Son, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang have agreed to organize the program at the regional level in conjunction with a number of activities to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Liberation Day of Bac Kan province (August 24, 1949 - August 24, 2024).

The first highlight of the program is the 6 provinces coordinating to organize a conference to promote tourism destinations of 6 Viet Bac provinces and the 15th program "Through Viet Bac heritage sites" in Da Nang city on July 8.

According to the People's Committee of Bac Kan province, promoting and introducing at one of the largest tourist centers in the country is an opportunity for provinces to connect, call for investment and attract tourists to the Viet Bac region.

From July to August 2024, the provinces will organize the preliminary and final rounds of the first "Miss Viet Bac" contest in 2024.

The final round will take place on the night of August 29 at the outdoor stage in Bo Lu village, Nam Mau commune, Ba Be district, Bac Kan province.

The organizers hope that the first-ever "Miss Viet Bac" contest will create a highlight and unique mark for the program "Through the Viet Bac Heritage Sites" in the following years.

From August 25 to 26, the organizers will open the Bac Kan province mountain bike race, conquering the newly opened tourist route from Bac Kan city to Ba Be lake.

From August 24-28, the program took place at the Bac Kan Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center with 70 booths.

From August 24-29, in Bac Kan city, the program organized an exhibition of paintings and tourism photos of 6 Viet Bac provinces.

From August 20-25, the provinces organized a competition for on-site tour guides with the theme "Experience a tour of Viet Bac".

Accordingly, each province chooses "a destination" to organize cultural, sports and tourism activities associated with the competition.

The Organizing Committee will establish Famtrip groups to survey, learn, get acquainted and score the tour guide competition at the location.

According to the People's Committee of Bac Kan province, the opening ceremony of the 15th "Through the Viet Bac Heritage Regions" program - Bac Kan 2024 will take place at 8:00 p.m. on August 25 at the stage of the Bac Kan Provincial Cultural House Square.

In conjunction with the program, Bac Kan province also organized many activities to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Bac Kan province's Liberation Day (August 24, 1949 - August 24, 2024).

Specifically, the music program and fashion show "Viet Bac Imprint" on the night of August 24 in Bac Kan city.

The performance program of heritages listed in the national intangible cultural heritage list will take place at 8:00 p.m. on August 26 in Bac Kan city, including: Luon coi, Luon Sluong of the Tay people, Sli singing of the Nung people, Pa Dung singing of the Dao people, Then singing - Tinh lute of the Tay, Nung, Thai people; Khen dance of the Mong people; bowl dance of the Tay people; performance of the art of decorating motifs and patterns of the Red Dao people's costumes.

The exhibition of paintings and photos commemorating the Liberation Day of Bac Kan province took place from August 24-29 in Bac Kan city.

In addition, locals and tourists can also experience folk games at the Bac Kan Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center; kayaking on Ba Be Lake; paragliding at Ba Be tourist area and hot air ballooning in Bac Kan city.

According to the Organizing Committee, the program "Through the heritage regions of Viet Bac" with existing traditions and new highlight activities will introduce and promote the resources and tourism potential of 6 Viet Bac provinces, contributing to promoting general tourism of the provinces in the region.
