Investors learn about the project to build a domestic waste treatment plant in Vinh Long province

On August 20, Mr. Nguyen Quynh Thien - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, together with leaders of a number of provincial departments and branches, had a meeting and worked with Wangneng Environmental Joint Stock Company to exchange information on the Investment Project to build a domestic waste treatment plant in Vinh Long province using combined incineration and energy regeneration technology.

The project to invest in building a waste treatment plant in Vinh Long province using combined incineration and energy recovery technology (burning to recover energy for electricity generation) is being implemented at the Hoa Phu Solid Waste Treatment Complex (Phu Quoi Commune, Vinh Long Province). The project's goal is to build a waste treatment plant using modern, environmentally friendly technology, aiming at sustainable development.

At the meeting, Ms. Zhang Jiangying - Chief Representative of the Office in Vietnam (Wangneng Environmental Joint Stock Company) said that Wangneng Environmental Joint Stock Company operates in the field of domestic waste treatment in China (under the Mizuda Group), with 33 projects invested, of which 20 projects have been put into operation. In Vietnam, the company has participated in investing and developing a waste-to-energy incineration project in Hung Yen province.

Ms. Zhang Jiangying - Chief Representative of Vietnam Office (Wangneng Environment Joint Stock Company) discussed and learned about the investment project to build a waste treatment plant in Vinh Long.

According to Ms. Zhang Jiangying, the company highly appreciates the development potential of Vinh Long province in the fields of infrastructure, urban environment, as well as the province's policies to attract investment in the direction of high technology, emission reduction, and resource saving. At the same time, it expressed special interest in the province's waste treatment plant project and wished to survey, research, and implement the project in the province.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Quynh Thien expressed his joy and thanked Ms. Zhang Jiangying and Wangneng Environmental Joint Stock Company for their interest in the waste treatment plant project and for exploring investment opportunities in the province. He said that the province wishes to soon implement the waste treatment plant project to handle daily waste, contributing to ensuring environmental quality. Thereby, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the provincial departments and branches to coordinate, continue to exchange and provide more relevant information about the project to investors in the coming time.
