The origin of the 1.2 billion VND bag "thrown into the egg seller's car"

Regarding the rare incident of an egg seller in Hanoi "having 1.2 billion VND thrown at a car" , on the afternoon of March 14, Tam Dong Commune Police (Me Linh District, Hanoi) had an initial report.

Accordingly, on the morning of March 13, Tam Dong Commune Police received a report from Ms. Nguyen Thi Luc (44 years old, from Vinh Phuc ) that while delivering eggs at Cho Dinh (Tam Dong Commune), she suddenly found a large bag of money of unknown origin in her truck.

In the bag there are many stacks of money in denominations of 100,000 VND, 200,000 VND and 500,000 VND.

Upon receiving the news, the authorities arrived at the scene, sealed the bag of money and invited witnesses to count it with the commune police. After counting, the total amount of money in the bag was 1.2 billion VND.

Tam Dong commune police then invited those involved to headquarters to verify the incident.

Initial verification results show that the money belonged to Mr. L.D.S. (64 years old, local), the source of which was from the sale of land. Due to his mental state, Mr. S.'s son took the bag of money and wandered around, "dropping" it into Ms. Luc's car at Cho Dinh.

After verification, Tam Dong Commune Police completed the documents and procedures according to regulations, and returned the above amount of money to Mr. S..

Previously, social media had been spreading about the incident. There were many rumors that the person who "threw billions of dong at the egg seller's car" was the daughter-in-law of a nearby family who stole money from selling land from her parents-in-law.

However, the leader of Tam Dong Commune People's Committee denied the above information.
