During their time together, Minh and Ms. D. often had conflicts. In December 2020, when they divorced, Minh won custody of the child and brought her to live with her mother in Phu Dong commune, Nhon Trach district.

During their time together, Minh repeatedly beat D. with household items such as chopsticks, rulers, phone chargers...

On October 20, seeing that his son refused to study, Minh used a phone charger cord to hit him on his buttocks, legs, arms and head. Not stopping there, he also used a phone cord to wrap around his son's neck to prevent him from running and used his hands to hit his son's mouth and face.

Seeing his child crying, Minh continued to use cooking utensils to hit his child repeatedly on the back and left palm until it bled. A day later, the child's grandmother discovered many bruises on his body and reported it to the local authorities.

Working with the police, Minh confessed that he had used household items to beat his child many times.

Nhon Trach District Police are continuing to investigate the case.
