Ho Nguyen Minh Thong (born 2004, living in Ho Chi Minh City) attracted thousands of interactions with a post on social media with only two lines: "National mission completed. A50 is forever my beautiful youth".

Mission A50 is a parade event to serve the 50th Anniversary of Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

Minh Thong is a third-year student majoring in sports business and event organization at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU). She is one of the students who passed the rigorous selection rounds regarding ideals, appearance, achievements, background, etc. to attend the event.

She said that as soon as the school's Youth Union announced the selection of students to participate in the parade for the April 30th celebration, the deputy secretary of the Youth Union branch immediately registered.

She passed the "extremely rigorous" selection rounds to register for this event as one of 25 outstanding young people in the group of cars carrying the portrait of President Ho Chi Minh, belonging to the group of Honorary Vehicles. This group of vehicles has a sacred meaning, including the National Emblem model car, the car carrying the portrait of President Ho Chi Minh, the car symbolizing the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country.

"I was really touched and extremely proud when I was lucky enough to be selected and assigned to the group of cars carrying the portrait of President Ho Chi Minh. Through this task, I learned discipline, team spirit and determination to never give up. This process also helped me understand more about the connection between individuals, the power of team spirit and the pride of being part of the young team," the female student shared.

In the coming time, Minh Thong is striving in the remaining subjects to achieve excellent academic results. In addition to studying and practicing, the student also works as a freelance model.

Along with Minh Thong, Nguyen Do Anh Tuan, the representative face of Ton Duc Thang University in 2024, also contributed to spreading the beautiful image of students.

Anh Tuan (born in 2003) is not a strange face to the school's students when he has a long list of achievements such as: Member of TDTU Ambassador Team, TDTU Representative Face in 2024, first prize in the creative design student group in the Creative Engineering competition in 2022, first prize in "Boat Racing", consolation prize in the "UPAC Talent Search" competition...

The 1m75 tall Binh Thuan boy works as a livestream host and freelance model. Tuan's major in university is civil engineering.

Mr. Tuan shared: "I am a very active person, I like to participate in Union and Association activities. I think that young people need to do meaningful things. Participating in the A50 mission is an opportunity for me to show my youth. I feel very honored and proud of this mission."

First-year student Le Thi Cam Ngoc, majoring in business administration at Gia Dinh University, also scores points with her cute and gentle appearance.

Although she had just come from Binh Phuoc to Ho Chi Minh City to study, the girl born in 2006 boldly registered to join the parade force in the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.

Cam Ngoc has good academic performance this school year and is assessed by the school to have good ideology and morality.

"I feel very honored and proud to have contributed a small part to the success of the ceremony. Through this journey, I feel more mature and strive to study, practice and contribute more," the female student shared.

During nearly 2 months of continuous training, there were peak periods when students had to practice 4 days/week, and all of them tried their best. The biggest challenge during the training process was to arrange their work scientifically to participate in all the training sessions, maintain perseverance and consistency in each step, because if just one person missed a beat, the whole group would be affected.

On this occasion, the University of Finance - Marketing also had 9 members, youth and students selected to participate in the parade.

According to Dr. Cao Tan Huy, Vice Principal of the school, this is the pride of each individual, above all, this is a sacred mission carrying the image value of Vietnamese youth in the cause of preserving and promoting national identity.

The radiant, enthusiastic faces of Vietnamese youth contributed to a historic, solemn and emotional parade on the great day. The event was not only a memorable mark in the valuable youth of each participating student but also a testament to the patriotism, responsibility and aspiration to contribute of today's young generation.

They, carefully selected young men and women, not only brought physical beauty but also spread good values, national pride, affirming the pioneering role of youth in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
