Vietnam's footwear industry seeks opportunities in Canada and North America

In the context of tariffs changing global trade dynamics, forcing countries to seek ways to diversify their markets to reduce dependence on a single market, the Vietnamese and Canadian footwear industries are looking forward to establishing a cooperative relationship through the 2025 Apparel and Footwear Fair (AFA) Canada held in Toronto, which brings together 20 Vietnamese enterprises and hundreds of large enterprises in the host country's footwear industry.

Vietnamese enterprises participated in this year's Fair under a joint program between the Vietnam Leather, Footwear and Handbag Association, the National Trade Promotion Agency and the Vietnam Trade Office in Canada. This is also the first time that the largest Fair of the footwear and accessories industry in Canada has welcomed Vietnamese enterprises representing typical businesses in the fields of footwear, handbags, raw materials and related services.

Within the framework of this Fair, the Vietnam Trade Office in Canada coordinated with the Vietnam Leather, Footwear and Handbag Association and AFA Canada to organize a seminar, with the hope of helping footwear businesses of both sides better understand and make good use of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans -Pacific Partnership to bring goods to each other's markets as well as the regional market.
