Artificial intelligence (AI) and semiconductor chip technology are becoming two cutting-edge fields, leading global technology trends. The demand for human resources in the industry is increasing, leading to attractive salaries for young people.
Recently, at the workshop "AI & Semiconductor Chips - Smart Future Platform" organized by FPT Polytechnic College, experts revealed that the starting salary in this industry can be up to 20 million VND/month for new graduates and this number can be even higher for specialized personnel.
The event gathered leading experts in the field such as MSc. Nguyen Phuc Vinh - Vice President of Ho Chi Minh City Semiconductor Technology Association, MSc. Le Anh Tien - Co-founder & CEO of BOT Sales and leaders of FPT Corporation: Mr. Nguyen Vinh Quang - Founder & CEO at FPT Semiconductor and Mr. Tran Van Nam - Vice Principal of FPT Polytechnic College.
Attractive job opportunities and salaries
MSc. Nguyen Phuc Vinh provides an overview of the Vietnamese Semiconductor ecosystem and opportunities to participate in the supply chain.
At the workshop, MSc. Nguyen Phuc Vinh - Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Semiconductor Technology Association said that the semiconductor chip industry is lacking human resources, especially high-quality human resources. He emphasized that the salary for this industry can exceed 100 million VND/month for senior positions, while new graduates can earn from 15 - 20 million VND/month. However, to meet recruitment needs, young people need to invest in in-depth professional knowledge and foreign languages, especially specialized English.
Mr. Nguyen Vinh Quang, FPT Corporation, believes that the semiconductor industry is a potential industry and has many job opportunities in the future.
In addition, Mr. Nguyen Vinh Quang - Founder & CEO at FPT Semiconductor revealed that FPT Corporation will invest heavily in the semiconductor industry in the direction of packaging and testing, opening up internship and direct work opportunities for students right after graduation. This affirms the strong development prospects of the semiconductor industry in the future, bringing many diverse options for the 2k7 generation preparing for the upcoming exam.
MSc. Le Anh Tien believes that the role of humans in monitoring, optimizing and orienting AI is extremely important.
In the context of increasingly strong AI technology development, MSc. Le Anh Tien - Co-founder & CEO of BOT Sales shared that AI can provide information quickly, analyze huge data but still needs human control and adjustment.
He emphasized that in the next 3 years, young people need to learn how to control and use artificial intelligence (AI) to avoid being eliminated from the "new race in the world of work". "We must act as an 'Editor-in-Chief' to ensure that information from AI is accurate and has practical value", said Master Le Anh Tien.
Speakers answer students' questions about AI & Semiconductor Chips.
AI is not only changing our lives, it is also affecting the job market. Businesses are looking for candidates who have the skills to use and control AI, rather than just rely on it. This places an urgent need on the younger generation: to not only learn how to use technology, but also to master and navigate it effectively.
FPT Polytechnic leads the trend with 2 new majors in the field of AI & Semiconductor Chips
In order to meet the demand for high-quality human resources in the field of AI and semiconductor chips, FPT Polytechnic is one of the pioneering colleges to launch two new training majors: "Chip & Semiconductor Technology" and "AI Application Programming".
Sharing about the differences in the training programs of the two new majors, Mr. Tran Van Nam - Vice Principal of FPT Polytechnic College, said: "The training programs of these two majors are built on advanced educational models from the UK and India, helping students access the latest knowledge and practice on real projects. At the same time, the team of lecturers and experts are all trained in depth to ensure teaching quality".
Mr. Tran Van Nam said that the training program framework for the majors "Chip & Semiconductor Technology" and "AI Application Programming" will closely follow the practical needs of society and businesses.
According to Mr. Nam, with the philosophy of "Practical learning - Practical work", FPT Polytechnic is committed to training students in a practical direction, helping students to be able to work immediately after graduation. In addition, with a network connecting more than 2,000 businesses, FPT Polytechnic students will participate in real projects, internships and job interviews right at school.
"According to statistics from the Business Relations Department, 97.7% of FPT Polytechnic students have jobs within one year of graduation. Therefore, FPT Polytechnic is not only a training place but also a launching pad to help students confidently enter the labor market in the new digital era," emphasized Mr. Tran Van Nam.
With the rapid development of AI and semiconductor chips, choosing the right major is a decisive factor for future success. The majors "Chip & Semiconductor Technology" and "AI Application Programming" at FPT Polytechnic not only help students grasp advanced technology but also open the door to attractive jobs with high income.
With these opportunities and advantages, the 2k7 generation can confidently choose the right learning path to keep up with technology trends, ensuring a solid future in the digital age.
