People's demand for cash increases during Tet, credit institutions in Ha Tinh have prepared conditions, proactively replenished ATM funds, ensuring all transactions take place smoothly.
From today (29th of Tet), banks will stop direct transactions, so people's need to withdraw and deposit cash at ATMs (automatic teller machines) and CDMs (electronic devices that allow account holders to deposit money into their accounts) increased dramatically. At Agribank Can Loc (belonging to Agribank Ha Tinh Province Branch), this morning, the number of people coming to transact at the ATM and CDM system doubled compared to normal days.
Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Tam - Deputy Director of Agribank Can Loc (standing in the middle) said: "During the Lunar New Year holiday, we have developed a detailed plan, arranged enough staff on duty and promptly replenished ATM funds. At Dong Loc and Vinh Loc transaction offices, people's transaction needs increased dramatically because in addition to accepting Agribank cards, we also accept cards from other banks, so the branch has proactively implemented solutions to provide maximum support to customers so that all transactions can take place smoothly."
In addition to the ATM system, Agribank Can Loc has put into use CDM machines (electronic devices that allow account holders to deposit money into their accounts). Thanks to that, customers can deposit money into their accounts with simple and quick operations.
Ms. Phan Hien Minh (Nghen town, Can Loc) said: "My family does business so we often have to do bank transactions. Currently, banks have stopped doing direct transactions, thanks to the CDM machine, I can deposit money into my account at any time, ensuring financial security and convenience for work."
At this time, the number of customers coming to withdraw money at ATMs of Vietcombank Thach Ha (belonging to Vietcombank Bac Ha Tinh) also increased.
Mr. Le Nhu Vu - Deputy Director of Vietcombank Thach Ha shared: "The unit has performed maintenance and repair of the ATM system according to regulations. During the Tet holiday, we have arranged staff to be on duty and support customers, ensuring that ATMs operate smoothly 24/7. In addition, Vietcombank proactively replenishes funds with all denominations according to the structure to serve the spending, shopping, lucky money, temple visits... needs of people during the Tet holiday".
Previously, BIDV Hong Linh Transaction Office (under BIDV Ha Tinh Branch) replenished funds every 2-3 days. During this Tet holiday, people's transaction needs increased by more than 50% compared to normal days, so the transaction office replenished ATM funds twice a day.
BIDV Hong Linh transaction office has also put into use the CDM machine system, creating favorable conditions for people to deposit money into their accounts at any time.
Currently, the joint stock commercial banking sector also serves a large number of customers coming to transact at the ATM system. At the transaction offices of ACB Ha Tinh, staff are assigned to be on duty and handle situations, creating favorable conditions for people to withdraw cash for spending during Tet. Accordingly, when ATMs are running out of money, there will be an automatic notification system via software so that staff can proactively replenish funds promptly and quickly.
Following the direction of the State Bank of Vietnam, the local banking system has connected the warning system to the police to have a protection plan in case of an incident. On the first day of the Tet holiday, all transactions at the ATM and CDM systems took place safely and smoothly.
