On April 11, the Traffic Police Department, Provincial Police coordinated with Phuoc Binh Commune Police, Trang Bang Town and Binh Thanh High School to organize a program to propagate the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety; prevent and combat the harmful effects of drugs, school violence, prevent crimes and violations of the law among teenagers for more than 800 students of the school.

At the program, the students listened to Major Cao Thanh Vu - an officer of the Traffic Police Department, Provincial Police, inform them about the traffic accident situation in the province in recent times, the current violation of traffic safety laws by a number of young people and students, especially the fact that they do not wear helmets when participating in traffic; speeding, reckless driving, joking, weaving, illegal racing, and driving when underage, which are the causes of traffic accidents for children.

Thereby, Major Cao Thanh Vu disseminated and popularized the basic contents of the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety in 2024, Decree 168/2024/ND-CP of the Government regulating administrative sanctions for violations in the field of road traffic; levels of sanctions for common violations; guided and provided students with knowledge and skills for safe driving, how to handle situations, and prevent traffic accidents on the road.

In addition, students participated in answering questions related to legal regulations on traffic safety and order.

Major Cao Thanh Vu said that according to statistics from the Provincial Police, in 2024, the whole province had 423 traffic accidents, of which 53 were related to school-age children, killing 21 people and injuring 37 people.

In the first quarter of 2025 alone, there were 73 accidents in the province, killing 47 people and injuring 35. Of these, 11 accidents involving school-age children occurred, killing 7 people and injuring 7 others. Thereby, reminding school students to raise their awareness of obeying the law on traffic safety and order to participate in traffic safely.

In addition, at the program, Phuoc Binh Commune Police also disseminated to children the consequences and harms of drug use, school violence, as well as crime prevention and law violations among today's youth.
