The country was unified, the mountains and rivers were united, the country was filled with joy. Not long after that joy, the wounds of war during the anti-American war had not yet healed, blood continued to be shed in the border areas of the province, and the people's lives encountered many difficulties due to unfavorable weather. Above all, with the spirit of solidarity, dynamism, creativity, and efforts to overcome difficulties, the Party Committee, government, army and people of Tay Ninh promoted the spirit of self-reliance, with high determination to both heal the wounds of war and strive to build the province.
Restore traffic arteries
After 50 years, Tay Ninh has taken on a new look, in which the transport infrastructure network is considered one of the important highlights, contributing to creating a new look for Tay Ninh after 50 years of national liberation and reunification.
According to the Provincial Party History, although Tay Ninh's transportation system is relatively rich, convenient for people's travel and exchange of goods, after liberation, it was severely damaged by war.
Imbued with the teaching of President Ho Chi Minh: “Traffic is the lifeblood of an organization. Good traffic makes everything easy. Bad traffic makes everything stagnant”; Tay Ninh province has focused on renovating and repairing main roads such as: Road 4, Road 6, Road 13, Go Dau bridge, Cam Giang bridge to open some new roads to the old base area and serve the construction of the new economic zone.
Besides, Tay Ninh also focuses on building inter-hamlet and inter-commune roads with the motto "State and People work together".
Go Dau District - one of the localities most heavily devastated by the war, is an important military strategic corridor, a gateway and shield to revolutionary bases in Boi Loi and Duong Minh Chau.
With an important military strategic position, this area continuously witnessed many fierce battles, and had to endure many bombs and bullets from the enemy. However, with revolutionary will, twice "Determined to defend Go Dau", the army and people of Go Dau district, together with the whole country, rose up to regain independence.
In the first years after the complete liberation of the South, the economy of Go Dau district was almost exhausted, self-sufficient production was the main factor, and the traffic infrastructure was seriously degraded.
Faced with many difficulties, the District Party Committee has directed the people to gradually restore economic development, stabilize life, and synchronize traffic infrastructure.
After 50 years of joint efforts and consensus, the roads to the commune center, inter-commune and inter-district roads and important roads in the district have been gradually invested in and paved; rural roads in each commune have been hardened, no longer muddy in the rainy season, meeting the needs of travel and transporting goods, contributing to changing the new face of the countryside; the material and spiritual life of the people has been constantly improved and enhanced.
Walking on the newly paved roads, Mr. Le Van Toi, residing in Cay Xoai Hamlet, Thanh Phuoc Commune, Go Dau District happily said that in the past, during the rainy season, the roads were muddy, making it very difficult for people to travel.
The government has paid attention to making village roads, alleys, and inter-hamlet roads very spacious and clean. Thanks to that, people can travel and transport agricultural products more easily.
In recent years, Go Dau district has also mobilized, allocated and effectively used investment resources from the Central, the province, the district budget, people's mobilization resources and other resources to invest in developing socio-economic infrastructure in the district, especially transport infrastructure towards sustainable development.
In addition, the locality reviewed and focused all resources on investing in projects to upgrade Go Dau to a new rural district and a type IV urban area.
Thereby helping Go Dau district in particular and Tay Ninh in general to put on a new look, many important works and projects in the field of transportation have been fully invested, including key projects with intra-regional and inter-regional connectivity.
New look
Investment in transport infrastructure is one of the breakthroughs. The Resolution of the 11th Provincial Party Congress has identified the key and important tasks of the 2020-2025 period on transport infrastructure development as: "Focus on investing in developing transport and urban infrastructure. Speed up the progress of key transport projects connecting regions, projects with spillover effects, leading to socio-economic development".
In order to realize the Resolution of the Congress, the province has focused on mobilizing resources from the local budget, the central budget and other social resources to develop transport.
In particular, in the 2021-2025 period, the total capital of the provincial budget for medium-term construction is about 20,000 billion VND, but the province has reserved about 6,000 billion VND for transportation to complete the traffic infrastructure in a synchronous and modern direction, creating a great driving force for the province, creating a driving force to attract investment, and promoting socio-economic development.
In particular, in 2024 and 2025, many important traffic projects in the province have been, are being and will be implemented, typically: Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai expressway project; N8-787B-789 regional connecting route; Go Dau - Xa Mat expressway project, phase 1 from Go Dau to Tay Ninh city...
Of which, the Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai expressway project has a total length of nearly 51km, the section passing through Tay Ninh province is more than 26km long.
This is a key national and local project, urgent and of special significance, creating momentum to open up new space for socio-economic development, strengthening security and defense of Tay Ninh province, Ho Chi Minh City in particular and of the Southeast region and the whole country in general.
Mr. Bui Huu Nhon, residing in Cay Ninh hamlet, Phuoc Trach commune, Go Dau district, was quite happy and agreed when this project was implemented. “This is a key project of the province in general and of Go Dau in particular.
Not only me but the majority of people agree to support this project. Because this is a major policy of the Party and the State, which is of special importance to Tay Ninh province" - Mr. Nhon said.
Trang Bang town is the gateway of the province, geographically located adjacent to developing provinces and cities in the Southern key economic region such as: Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Long An; with national traffic routes passing through such as: National Highway 22 (Trans-Asia Highway), Ho Chi Minh Road, National Highway 14C.
Currently, in the town, there are 2 traffic projects under construction, namely Ho Chi Minh road and the N8-787B-789 regional connecting road. At the same time, the Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai expressway project is also being actively implemented by the locality to carry out assigned tasks for construction in 2025.
It can be seen that Tay Ninh's efforts have brought about many positive results, many regional connecting routes have been completed and put into use, creating favorable conditions for trade and freight transport. A series of intra-provincial routes such as belt roads and inter-regional routes have been invested in, contributing to reducing congestion and improving transport efficiency.
