According to records at accommodation establishments, parking lots... in Tuy Hoa City ( Phu Yen Province ) on April 30, the number of Central Highlands tourists flocking to Phu Yen was very large, a sharp increase compared to previous years. Along the main roads, vehicles with license plates from Dak Lak, Gia Lai, Dak Nong... accounted for the majority.

A representative of Apec Mandala Wyndham Phu Yen hotel said that more than 90% of the rooms here have been booked, mostly domestic guests.

"Many guests from Dak Lak and the Central Highlands provinces booked rooms, accounting for more than 50% of the hotel's guests. The guests' stay was mainly from April 30 to May 2," said a representative of Apec Mandala Wyndham Phu Yen.

The general occupancy rate in Phu Yen is estimated at 62% during this holiday, but many large hotels in Tuy Hoa are almost fully booked during peak days.

According to information from hotels such as Sala Grand Tuy Hoa, Rosa Alba Resort, Stelia Beach Resort, Sao Mai Beach Resort... room occupancy reached nearly 100% from April 30 to May 2, 2025. Meanwhile, hotels and homestays near the beach also reached room occupancy of over 80%.

Swimming in Tuy Hoa City's beach with her family, Ms. Le Thien Ly (32 years old, a tourist from Dak Lak) said: "My family chose Phu Yen as a tourist destination because everyone in the family loves the beach, the distance to get here is quite short, the food is delicious and the prices are very reasonable."

Also from Dak Lak, Ngo Bao Ngoc shared that Phu Yen and Dak Lak will soon be "united", the locality has both mountains and sea so everyone is happy.

"I really love Phu Yen. When the two provinces merge, I will come here more often. I just hope that the localities will soon upgrade the roads connecting the two provinces to make travel more convenient for people and tourists," Ngoc said.

Mr. Nguyen Le Vu - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Yen - said that the locality will focus on outstanding tourism products such as beach resorts, green tourism, nature discovery tourism, exploring coastal islands, MICE tourism... to target many domestic and international markets.

"The number of visitors to Phu Yen during the April 30 and May 1 holidays is expected to increase compared to last year. This year, the tourism industry of Phu Yen province has participated in many events and fairs promoting local tourism, opening up many opportunities to attract tourists," said Mr. Vu.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Yen, during the holiday from April 30 to May 4, the whole province is estimated to welcome about 80,000 tourists, an increase of 46% over the same period last year./.
