La Stampa said that Man City reached personal agreements with Donnarumma, including a salary of more than 12 million euros/year, equivalent to the amount the 26-year-old goalkeeper received at PSG .

Donnarumma nodded to the Etihad after talks with Pep Guardiola , who rated him as one of the three best goalkeepers in the world today.
The source added that Man City is negotiating with PSG for 35 million euros for this deal. They expect to spend around 40 million euros.
With Donnarumma having less than 11 months left on his contract in Paris, Man City have no intention of meeting PSG's €50m asking price.

Donnarumma's future in Paris after a hugely successful season with PSG took an unexpected turn. Everyone thought that their relationship would continue, but their relationship hit rock bottom, culminating in coach Luis Enrique removing the goalkeeper from PSG's squad for the European Super Cup - which had just won against Tottenham in a nerve-wracking penalty shootout (2-2 draw in 90 minutes).
Donnarumma's agent criticized PSG for showing no respect towards his client, while the goalkeeper also hinted that Luis Enrique was the one who 'chased' him out of Paris, in a letter to fans, confirming his departure.
The disagreement between Donnarumma and PSG is said to be over salary in the contract extension negotiations. The Italian goalkeeper wants an increase after a historic season with great contributions, but the rich French team does not agree.
Not to mention, coach Luis Enrique also aimed for a goalkeeper with a different style and in fact the team brought in Lucas Chevalier, who was just chosen to start in the European Super Cup.
