Flash floods suddenly hit mountainous villages in Nghe An

At about 1:30 a.m. the same day, a local flash flood occurred in San village (Huu Khuong commune).

Floodwaters from upstream poured into Huoi Phi May stream, carrying soil, rocks and mud into many houses. The flood did not cause any casualties, but eight houses were severely damaged; many houses had mud and rocks in them, causing damage to their belongings.

Immediately after the flood occurred, in addition to organizing emergency evacuation of people to safety, the authorities of Huu Khuong commune mobilized forces to help people overcome the consequences.
