The forest fire broke out at 9am yesterday (August 23) in a 5-year-old pine forest in Nghi Tien commune, Nghi Loc district. Upon receiving the news, the forest management unit and functional forces, along with hundreds of people, entered the forest to put out the fire.

During the firefighting process, due to the complex and difficult terrain, when the wind changed direction, two forest protection management officers of Nghi Loc district, Mr. Trinh Van Ha and Hoang Van Sum, were caught in the fire and suffered burns. Currently, these two officers are being treated at Nghe An General Hospital. Of these, Mr. Trinh Van Ha suffered third-degree burns.
