The fire broke out in a pine forest area in hamlet 14, Nghi Tien commune, Nghi Loc district.

The forest fire broke out at 9am yesterday (August 23) in a 5-year-old pine forest in Nghi Tien commune, Nghi Loc district. Upon receiving the news, the forest management unit and functional forces, along with hundreds of people, entered the forest to put out the fire.

Hot weather and strong winds made it difficult to contain and extinguish the pine forest fire.

During the firefighting process, due to the complex and difficult terrain, when the wind changed direction, two forest protection management officers of Nghi Loc district, Mr. Trinh Van Ha and Hoang Van Sum, were caught in the fire and suffered burns. Currently, these two officers are being treated at Nghe An General Hospital. Of these, Mr. Trinh Van Ha suffered third-degree burns.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van De visited Nghe An General Hospital to visit and encourage two forest rangers who were burned while fighting the fire.

Visiting and encouraging two forest protection officers who are undergoing treatment, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van De wished them a speedy recovery. He hoped that the medical team would focus on caring for and treating the two officers.
