Banks increase interest rates one after another

According to Lao Dong, as of August 12, the market recorded 11 banks increasing savings interest rates including: Eximbank, ACB, Agribank, Sacombank, Saigonbank, VietBank, TPBank, CBBank, VIB, Dong A Bank, VPBank.

Of which, ACB interest rates increased by 0.1-0.3 percentage points, to about 3.0-5.0%/year.

Eximbank's savings interest rate increased by 0.4 percentage points for one term, to about 3.5-5.2%/year.

Sacombank savings interest rates increased by 0.3-0.8 percentage points, to about 3.3-5.7%/year.

Saigonbank's savings interest rate increased by 0.3 percentage points, to about 3.3-6.1%/year.

TPBank savings interest rates increased by 0.2-0.3 percentage points, to about 3.5-5.7%/year.

VietBank's savings interest rate increased by 0.2 percentage points for one term, to about 3.6-5.9%/year.

CBBank savings interest rates increased by 0.4 percentage points, to about 3.8-5.85%/year.

Dong A Bank's term savings interest rate increased by 0.8 percentage points, to about 3.3-5.3%/year.

VIB savings interest rates increased by 0.1-0.2 percentage points, to about 3.2-5.2%/year.

VPBank savings interest rates increased by 0.2-0.5 percentage points, to about 3.6-5.8%/year.

On the contrary, the August savings interest rate market also recorded two banks reducing savings interest rates, namely SeABank. ABBank listed a reduction of 0.1-0.3 percentage points for most terms; SeABank also listed a reduction of 0.25 percentage points for all terms.

Which bank currently has savings interest rates above 8.0%/year?

Amidst the wave of interest rate increases, there are currently 3 banks on the market paying high interest rates of over 8.0%/year for 12-13 month terms.

MSB currently lists an interest rate of 8.0%/year for a 13-month term with a deposit of VND500 billion or more.

HDBank listed an interest rate of 8.1%/year for a 13-month term with a minimum deposit of VND500 billion.

The highest interest rate is 9.5%/year, 12-month term listed at PVcomBank with the condition of new deposit opening from 2,000 billion VND.
