On the afternoon of August 8, the Department of Education and Training of Lai Chau province held a conference to summarize the 2024-2025 school year, deploy tasks for the 2025-2026 school year and commend typical advanced models in the 2020-2025 period.
In the 2024-2025 school year, Lai Chau's education and training sector achieved many important results. The province has 336 schools with 5,182 classes and nearly 150,000 students. Of which, 228 schools meet national standards. The sector has 11,390 managers, teachers and staff. The rate of managers and teachers meeting and exceeding standards is nearly 95%.

The quality of mass education remains stable and improves. The 2018 General Education Program is implemented synchronously in all grades. Digital transformation, administrative reform and other areas in the entire education sector are promoted. The quality of key education is emphasized. Many students have won prizes in competitions, competitions for excellent students, scientific and technical research, etc.
In the 2025-2026 school year, the education and training sector aims to continue improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state management of education. At the Conference, Mr. Tong Thanh Hai, Permanent Vice Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and commended the achievements of Lai Chau province's education and training sector in the 2024-2025 school year. At the same time, he requested that in the coming school year, the education and training sector continue to strongly innovate the work of State management. Quickly complete and effectively operate the education management model according to the 2-level government model; strengthen decentralization, promote the role and responsibility of commune-level authorities in education management.
Continue to improve the quality and effectiveness of the 2018 General Education Program. Focus on comprehensively developing students' qualities and abilities. Resolutely innovate teaching methods and promote digital transformation.

“Communal and ward authorities need to identify education as the top priority task. Arrange civil servants with expertise and experience to be in charge of education. Prioritize resources for investment in facilities and finance for schools. Actively coordinate with the education and training sector to increase the rate of student attendance, improve attendance and education quality in the area,” Mr. Hai suggested.
In recognition of the achievements in emulation movements of the Lai Chau Education and Training sector, the Prime Minister awarded Emulation Flags to 3 groups and Certificates of Merit to 62 individuals. The Ministry of Education and Training awarded Certificates of Merit to 1 group and 11 individuals. Many groups and individuals were commended and rewarded by the Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Education and Training.

Within the framework of the Conference, the Lai Chau Department of Education and Training launched the Emulation Movement for the 2025-2026 school year and implemented the Emulation Movement for the 2025-2030 period; announced the list of 10 collectives and individuals attending the 6th Lai Chau Provincial Patriotic Emulation Congress.
