Record for the longest dragon-shaped covered corridor across the mountain in Vietnam

On March 8, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam province organized an international travel conference - Quang Nam 2025 with the theme "Hoi An - My Son - Dong Giang Heaven Gate Heritage Route: Where nature and culture blend together".

At the workshop, the Vietnam Record Organization awarded a record certificate for the longest dragon-shaped covered corridor across the mountain in Vietnam, at Dong Giang Heaven Gate tourist area, Ma Cooih commune, Dong Giang district.

This is a complex of two projects, including a dragon-shaped covered walkway and a glass bridge.

The project is 800m above sea level, with a construction area of over 1,260m2 and height from 3.73m to 8.85m.

The 460m long dragon-shaped roofed corridor was built based on the dragon architecture of the Ly Dynasty.

The glass bridge is located right next to the corridor, nearly 39m long and 1.5m wide, designed to resemble the Pearl of Heaven - the treasure guarded by the sacred dragon. When standing on the transparent glass bridge, visitors will feel like they are standing on the boundary between heaven and earth.

According to Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet - Secretary of Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee, the Hoi An - My Son - Dong Giang Heaven Gate heritage route is the first official intra-provincial tourist route to be announced, in the direction of developing the province's new tourism corridor.

This is the route connecting the tourist center of Hoi An - My Son with the western and southern regions of the province and further connecting with domestic and regional tourist centers.

Quang Nam has more than 400 national and provincial relics and scenic spots; 2 world cultural heritages: Hoi An ancient town and My Son temple complex, Cu Lao Cham world biosphere reserve, and Tra Que vegetable village, which has just been recognized by the World Tourism Organization as the best agricultural tourism village in the world...

Besides, Quang Nam is located in the center of Vietnam, the gateway connecting with countries in the Mekong sub-region and ASEAN, located on the East-West economic corridor with advantages in connecting road, waterway and air traffic with countries in the region.

The Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee admitted that the province's tourism has not yet developed in accordance with its potential and advantages, and has not yet met the increasingly diverse needs of tourists.

To become an attractive destination for domestic and foreign tourists and investors, the head of Quang Nam province believes that cooperation between localities, the attention of tourism experts; especially the companionship of tourism businesses are extremely important and necessary in the current context.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hong, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam province, affirmed that this will be an important bridge between travel businesses, investors, functional agencies and international organizations, creating new cooperation opportunities, promoting the development of the tourism industry not only for Quang Nam but also for Central Vietnam.
