To increase the competitiveness of destinations as well as to take the lead in the tourist market, Quang Ninh tourism industry strives to step up promotion, demand stimulation, and communication activities. These activities are carried out in a variety of forms, thereby introducing tourists to the potential, strengths, and attractive tourism products, reaching a variety of customers.

To expand the market and attract tourists to Quang Ninh, the Department of Tourism has directed localities and units to strengthen communication activities, promote tourism, as well as organize events to stimulate the market, seminars to introduce destinations; at the same time, participate in tourism fairs to connect businesses, flexibly combining direct and online forms. The province will organize programs to survey destinations and products for travel businesses and press agencies, strengthen cooperation between Quang Ninh province and key tourism localities in promotion.

It is expected that in the first quarter of 2025, the tourism industry will strive to reach 5.5 million visitors and revenue of over VND 12,000 billion. To develop the international tourist market, the province will organize promotional programs abroad, focusing on traditional markets such as Korea, China, Taiwan and some potential markets such as India, Australia, Germany. At the same time, organize working programs, sign cooperation agreements with reputable domestic and foreign travel businesses, welcome international travel business delegations and press to survey and promote. In particular, the Quang Ninh tourism industry continues to discuss and agree with tourism management agencies in some Chinese localities to agree on solutions to attract and exchange tourists between the parties, focusing on removing difficulties, problems and issues related to tourism business environment management.

For the domestic market, the tourism industry continues to promote the implementation of signed tourism cooperation memorandums of understanding with key tourism provinces and cities, airlines, and large travel agencies to boost tourist attraction. Specifically, organizing working programs, introducing and promoting Quang Ninh tourism to a number of southern provinces, such as Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Binh Duong and northern provinces and cities such as Hanoi, Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, together with state and private economic groups, large reputable travel agencies, airlines, etc.; proactively participating in the Vietnam Tourism Fair (VITM 2025); Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival 2025; Ho Chi Minh City International Tourism Fair (ITE 2025)...

In particular, Quang Ninh plans to organize 170 programs, events, and tourism stimulus activities in the area. Of which, there are 24 programs, events, and cultural, sports, and tourism activities at international, national, and provincial levels; 146 local programs. Notable activities include the Spring - Summer activities including: Ha Long Carnival 2025, Bach Dang Traditional Festival, Quang Ninh Ethnic Culture Festival 2025, Aqua Warriors HaLong Bay 2025, Quang Ninh OCOP Summer Fair 2025; Motorized kite and paragliding festival, Lion and Dragon Festival... In addition, in the third and fourth quarters of 2025, the Autumn-Winter Tourism Week will take place with sports competitions held in Quang Ninh province such as: National U23 Fencing Championship 2025, Quang Ninh Open Sports Dance Tournament, Yen Tu Heritage Marathon 2025... Functional units focus on promoting tourism in Quang Ninh, coordinating with media units to post tourism information on all infrastructures; proactively monitor information in newspapers and social networks to promptly detect and advise on handling measures if there is information that is not objective, affecting the image and brand of the locality and the province.

Along with the province, localities are also ready to organize many events to stimulate demand and attract tourists. Mr. Nguyen Hai Linh, Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Co To district, said: In the coming time, the district will continue to develop the night-time economic model to maximize the available tourism potential and advantages. In particular, aiming to build a night market model (shopping, general cuisine), organize walking street activities, create a vibrant walking street space, combine entertainment, cultural, artistic, physical education and sports activities with business and services. In addition, the district also focuses on utilizing social networks to promote and develop Co To tourism, build Co To tourism publications, promotional video clips, stimulate Co To tourism...

In Mong Cai City, communes and wards have coordinated to develop programs to organize events and activities to stimulate and attract tourists according to the city's direction. At the same time, regularly post tourism information and images on fanpages to promote the local tourism potential and activities; build promotional programs, offer tours, introduce and promote to tourists; connect with travel businesses nationwide to provide documents and introduce products to tourists.

In addition, businesses are also urgently implementing plans to promote and advertise tourism through the media, making the most of available platforms, not to delay the "golden opportunity" to promote tourism. Mr. Pham Van Hiep, CEO of Sun Group Northeast, shared: At this time, the unit is actively promoting Quang Ninh tourist destinations on billboards, posters and screens in the tourism ecosystem of Sun Group and partners such as airlines, travel agencies, resorts... In addition, the unit also quickly connects and works with travel agencies to build tourism packages to Quang Ninh via Van Don airport, creating conditions for tourists to have memorable experiences in Quang Ninh.

In early 2025, Quang Ninh received positive signals and a boost from tourism. With a clear tourism development strategy and innovation, creativity and flexibility in stimulating and promoting tourism, Quang Ninh is gradually realizing the goal of welcoming 20 million tourists by 2025, including 4.5 million international visitors, and earning 55,000 billion VND from tourism activities.
