The document of Ninh Binh Department of Tourism stated that recently, many tourists have chosen forest tourism to experience and explore nature directly. Through popular activities such as hiking, mountain climbing, cycling, kayaking, cave tours, camping, etc., tourists have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the wild nature and enjoy the fresh air. Ensuring the safety of tourists in Ninh Binh province has been regularly paid attention to by all levels, sectors and businesses.
However, in reality, there are still many potential risks that affect the lives and health of tourists, leading to a number of accidents when traveling in the forest. To ensure the safety of tourists when experiencing forest tourism in areas and tourist destinations with special natural conditions, the Department of Tourism recommends that the People's Committees at the commune level, the Management Boards of tourist areas and destinations, and tourism service establishments in the province pay attention to coordinating to strengthen propaganda work, raise awareness for people and tourists to understand the risks and preventive measures when traveling in the forest.
Management Boards of eco-tourism areas and sites need to strengthen warnings, place warning signs, provide guidance, and set up landmarks, while coordinating with rangers and security forces to strictly control illegal trekking activities.
Units must publicize the Ninh Binh province tourist support hotline (19000117) and the hotline of the Management Board of tourist areas and attractions in visible locations. In addition, coordinate in developing and implementing rescue plans, prepare vehicles to be ready to serve the task of searching, rescuing and rescuing tourists in all situations.
For travel businesses, the Department of Tourism requires training and assigning experienced tour guides who are knowledgeable about terrain and have rescue skills to join the group; tour guides need to thoroughly disseminate regulations, routes and necessary equipment when organizing tours.
For tourists, it is necessary to strictly follow the recommendations, safety instructions, prepare health, and appropriate equipment before participating in activities in the forest, specifically: Always go in groups, absolutely do not separate from the group or go alone; dress neatly, bring suitable climbing shoes, bring raincoats, insect repellent; prepare enough drinking water, some basic medical supplies, and necessary snacks.
Tourists need to keep in regular contact with the tour guide/group, obey the gathering signal; do not encroach on the natural landscape, do not touch strange animals and plants; immediately notify the tour guide or management board if feeling tired, lost or having problems.
In addition, tourists absolutely must not trek or go deep into the forest without the guidance of authorities or tour guides. Ninh Binh Department of Tourism requests the People's Committees of communes and wards, especially localities with forest tourism, to pay attention and provide guidance.
