On the morning of May 26, Mr. Truong Huu Tien, Director of the Management Board of Sam Mountain National Tourist Area (Chau Doc city, An Giang province) said: The People's Committee of An Giang province has agreed to the policy of not collecting fees during the Sam Mountain Lady Festival in 2024.

The 2024 festival will take place from May 22 to June 3 in Nui Sam ward, Chau Doc city. This is also the 10th anniversary of the festival being recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage (2014-2024).

According to the Director of the Sam Mountain National Tourist Area Management Board, from 0:00 on May 28 to 23:59 on June 3 (April 21-27 of the lunar calendar), the Organizing Committee will not charge tourists to visit and participate in the Sam Mountain Lady Festival in 2024.

The 2024 Ba Chua Xu Festival on Sam Mountain will take place according to traditional rituals. On May 28, the festival will open. From May 29 to June 3, the main ceremony will take place with traditional rituals such as: The procession of the statue of Ba from the stone pedestal on the top of Sam Mountain and ending at the stage of Ba Temple; the bathing ceremony of Ba; the ceremony of inviting the royal decree of Thoai Ngoc Hau from the tomb to Ba Temple; the ceremony of returning the decree of Thoai Ngoc Hau from Ba Temple to Thoai Ngoc Hau's tomb... Along with that are activities to promote and introduce to people and tourists at home and abroad the image of the land, people, scenic spots, historical relics, typical and unique cultural heritage values ​​of the locality.

Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan, Vice Chairman of Chau Doc City People's Committee, said: This year's festival is expected to welcome millions of visitors. To ensure the safety of visitors, Chau Doc City (An Giang) will deploy many measures to ensure security and order, resolutely preventing social evils and property theft.

The city has also developed a reasonable traffic diversion plan, minimizing the number of vehicles moving in the festival area; avoiding congestion or prolonged congestion.

In 2014, the Ba Chua Xu Festival of Sam Mountain was included in the list of national intangible cultural heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Tay Ninh is preparing a dossier to submit to UNESCO to propose the festival be included in the list of representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity./.
