At the reading space "Pink Candle" of Ms. Bui Thi Ha, a disabled person in Nguyen Du commune, in a small, pretty flat-roofed house, Ms. Ha has dedicated the entire living room space to a reading room and a free bookshelf. Mr. Tran Trung Thinh, although his house is far away, often comes to the reading space "Pink Candle" to find books to borrow and read. Mr. Thinh said: Reading has become my passion for many years. At this reading space, I find many good books, the reading space is warm in winter, cool in summer, so I often stay here for hours to read books.

Although she is disabled, with her love for books, Ms. Bui Thi Ha cherished the idea of ​​building a reading space to both enrich her knowledge and help people around her access books and read. Initially, she collected books from used booksellers. Gradually, by calling on friends and many reading spaces across the country... she built the "Pink Candle" reading space. From only a few dozen books, the number of books in the reading space gradually increased. Currently, the "Pink Candle" reading space has over 2,000 books.

Blooming reading space

In the province, there are currently many private reading spaces, clan bookcases, family bookcases, temple libraries... operating in localities. Thien Phuc Pagoda in Quynh Phu commune has built and maintained the temple library with   over 6,000 books   During the summer holidays, the library has become an attractive destination for students .   Older sister   Luu Minh Nguyet and her two children have been attached to this library for nearly 10 years. On weekends and summer days, she often takes her children to the temple library to read books. Ms. Nguyet shared: With a rich number of books, this is the ideal space for my children to seek knowledge. The temple space is peaceful, coming here, the children also learn how to live peacefully, friendly with the environment and the people around them. Nun Thich Nu Quang Phat, abbot of Thien Phuc pagoda, Quynh Phu commune said: Along with Buddhist books for Buddhists, the library also has many books for preschoolers, literature books, life skills education for teenagers... The goal of the temple is to   Build a rich source of books to meet the reading needs of most ages.

Adolescence and childhood are important stages in the formation and development of each person's personality.   During this stage, reading culture is very necessary for children in the process of learning, acquiring knowledge and cultural values ​​of humanity.   Besides the Provincial Library, the establishment of reading spaces, community bookcases, private bookcases, clan bookcases, and family bookcases in localities is actively contributing to promoting the development of reading culture in the community, contributing to   inspire the spirit of "Learn, learn more, learn forever" in youth and people.
