Tan Phu - Bao Loc Expressway starts construction in the third quarter, 301 households relocated

According to the Lam Dong Provincial Transport Project Management Board (PMU), as of mid-February 2024, Lam Dong has announced the project and posted information on the project investment policy decision as prescribed immediately after approval; Signed an agreement with the Project Proposal Investor Consortium to prepare the Feasibility Study Report and other related tasks.

Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee has submitted the project's basic design documents to the Ministry of Transport (MOT) for appraisal and the Vietnam Expressway Administration (VEA) - MOT has issued a document announcing the results of the appraisal.

The Tan Phu (Dong Nai) - Bao Loc (Lam Dong) expressway project was approved by the Prime Minister for investment policy. The route is about 66km long (of which the section through Lam Dong province is 55km long), the roadbed is 17m wide with 4 lanes.

According to the Provincial Traffic Project Management Board, the total estimated investment for the project is 17,200 billion VND.

Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee has coordinated with Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee to complete the project's compensation and resettlement policy framework and has been reviewed and approved by ministries, branches, and the Prime Minister.

Accordingly, the total area to be recovered in the two provinces is 500.6 hectares. There are 301 households to be relocated, the resettlement policy is in the form of dispersed resettlement and concentrated resettlement. The total estimated compensation and resettlement support of the project is about 2,821 billion VND.

Lam Dong Provincial Transport Project Management Board determined the project completion timeline including the following steps in the second quarter of 2024; Construction will start in the third quarter of 2024.

Bao Loc - Lien Khuong Expressway to start construction in the fourth quarter

According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Chuong, Director of Lam Dong Provincial Traffic Project Management Board, as of mid-February 2024, the project has announced the project and posted information.

Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee has also completed the procedures for assigning investors to propose projects to prepare Feasibility Study Reports according to regulations; At the same time, assigning departments, branches and localities to proactively review, develop plans and roadmaps for each specific task, determine implementation and completion time to speed up project implementation progress.

The Bao Loc - Lien Khuong expressway project (phase 1) has been approved for investment by the Lam Dong Provincial People's Council and the Prime Minister has assigned the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee as the competent State agency to implement the project under the public-private partnership (PPP) method.

This expressway is about 74km long, 17m wide with 4 lanes. The total investment is expected to be 19,521 billion VND, of which the State capital is 7,761 billion VND, the capital owned by investors and other mobilized capital is about 11,700 billion VND.

Localities have also made preliminary statistics and calculations on the volume, scope, and area of ​​compensation, site clearance, and estimated land funds for resettlement and farming for the project, as well as prepared investment in the construction of resettlement areas to serve the Bao Loc - Lien Khuong expressway project.

According to the Provincial Traffic Project Management Board, construction is expected to start in the fourth quarter of 2024.
