According to Mr. Le Duc Loc - Project Management Board 4 (Vietnam Road Administration), the investor representative acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the contractors in the recent past, who have made many efforts, taking advantage of the weather to work overtime and increase shifts to speed up the construction progress of the project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 14E (section km15+270 - km89+700) in Quang Nam province.

Up to now, the project's construction progress is not much left, especially taking advantage of favorable weather, Project Management Board 4 has asked contractors to continue to promote the spirit of enthusiastic competition, maintain the momentum to work throughout the April 30 and May 1 holidays.

Accordingly, the investor representative requested the units to maintain a sufficient number of workers, machinery and equipment on site, organize continuous construction in 3 shifts, drastically speed up the progress, and avoid work interruptions during the holidays. Strengthen traffic safety work in construction areas, such as installing a full system of signs and warnings according to regulations; arrange forces to guard and direct traffic at key points.

Contractors plan to coordinate with local authorities (People's Committees of communes, People's Committees of districts where the project passes), and functional forces (Inspectors of the Department of Construction, traffic police, security and order police, etc.) to ensure reasonable traffic flow and avoid congestion. Do a good job of environmental sanitation, regularly clean up mud, solid waste scattered on the road; water to reduce dust, ensure a clean construction site landscape, and minimize impacts on people's lives.

At the XD01 package, section km15+270 - km40+00 (Thang Binh - Hiep Duc) on the afternoon of April 29, workers were divided into many construction teams. One team was cleaning the ground, watering emulsion to prepare for asphalt concrete paving through Binh Quy commune (Thang Binh). Another team was rolling the last layer of crushed stone aggregate through Binh Tri commune (Thang Binh), preparing conditions for asphalt concrete paving.

Engineer Tran Khac Khanh - technical officer of the Central Institute of Transport Science and Technology (the project supervision consultant joint venture), officers and workers worked across the holiday, the plan is to clear the sections with cleared ground by June 30, 2025. This morning, April 30, the contractor of the XD01 package carried out asphalt concrete paving through Binh Quy commune.

An officer of the Steering Committee of the National Highway 14E Improvement and Upgrade Project (under Project Management Board 4) said that the unit has increased its workforce to direct, operate, and supervise the construction site from Thang Binh, Hiep Duc to Phuoc Son. Currently, the workforce of the investor's representative directly participating in the project at the site is 20 people. Particularly for the section passing through Hiep Duc district, the contractors have completed the asphalt concrete pavement for a total of about 4.5km.

Engineer Dang Van Hoa - Construction Team Leader of Dong Thuan Ha Company Limited shared that by 3:00 p.m. on April 30, the unit had paved a 500m asphalt concrete road through Binh Quy commune. During this holiday, the unit strives to pave a total of 3km of asphalt concrete through Thang Binh (1.5km in Binh Quy commune and 1.5km in Binh Tri commune). By the end of May, the contractor will pave an additional 3km of asphalt concrete road surface through Binh Tri and Binh Lanh communes (Thang Binh).

Mr. Que Hai Trung - Director of the Project Management Board for the improvement and upgrading of National Highway 14E said that up to now, the entire project route has been paved with asphalt concrete for a total of 9.6km. It is expected that this May, the contractors will continue to pave an additional 18km of asphalt concrete.
