The Resolution stated that, after reviewing and discussing the content of Submission No. 136-TTr/TU, dated April 25, 2025 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on the proposal to approve the Project on rearranging commune-level administrative units of Lam Dong province and the Project on rearranging Lam Dong province, Binh Thuan province and Dak Nong province, the Conference of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Executive Committee, term XI, held on April 25, 2025, resolved to agree on the policy for the Project on rearranging Lam Dong province, Binh Thuan province and Dak Nong province.

Specifically, Lam Dong province, Binh Thuan province and Dak Nong province will be merged into one province, named Lam Dong province, including the entire natural area and population (both permanent and temporary) of the three current provinces.

In which, Lam Dong province has a natural area of ​​9,781.20 ^km2 , population of 1,595,597 people; Binh Thuan province has a natural area of ​​7,942.60 ^km2 , population of 1,531,253 people and Dak Nong province has a natural area of ​​6,509.27 ^km2 , population of 746,149 people. The political - administrative center is located in Da Lat city, Lam Dong province today.

Lam Dong Province (new) after the merger has a natural area of ​​24,233.07 ^km2 ; population size is 3,872,999 people. It is expected that there will be about 124 commune-level administrative units.

The Resolution also resolved to assign the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to lead the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to direct the Provincial People's Committee to review and complete the Project and submit it to competent authorities in accordance with regulations. The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council shall lead the implementation of tasks within its authority to ensure compliance with legal regulations.

The Provincial Party Committee's committees, the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, provincial socio-political organizations, and party committees directly under the Provincial Party Committee coordinate to implement tasks according to regulations.

Party committees and authorities at all levels continue to do a good job of disseminating the Project to cadres, party members and people to create high consensus during implementation.
