Lam Dong: Opening of the new school year must be solemn and economical

The plan to organize the opening ceremony of the new school year 2025-2026 issued by the People's Committee of Lam Dong province requires the opening ceremony to take place on the morning of Friday, September 5, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

The program is divided into two parts. From 7:30 to 8:00, there will be a welcome performance, introduction of delegates, congratulatory speeches by leaders, flower presentation, awarding of scholarships to students in difficult circumstances (if any) and a speech by the principal.

From 8:00 to 9:30, the whole province connected live to the national opening ceremony at the National Convention Center ( Hanoi ), broadcast on VTV1 channel.

Regarding the organization, the Provincial People's Committee requested that in favorable weather conditions, the opening ceremony be held directly in the school yard. If the weather is not favorable, schools can hold it in the hall or classroom, and at the same time, students can watch the program directly from the Ministry of Education and Training.

In addition to provincial leaders and departments, the opening ceremony will also include leaders of the Party Committee, People's Committees of communes, wards, and special zones, and sponsoring businesses (if any) and press agencies may be invited. The Provincial People's Committee requests that the propaganda work be done well to all parents about the opening day of the new school year, in a solemn, safe, and economical manner.

Previously, on August 15, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee also issued a framework for the school year schedule for preschool education , general education and continuing education in the province, school year 2025-2026.

Accordingly, students will return to school from August 25 (preschools will not be allowed to return to school); start school on September 5, end semester 1 before January 18, 2026, and complete the curriculum before May 31, 2026. National exams will take place according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

With careful preparation for the opening ceremony of the new school year, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee requires units to seriously implement, create an exciting atmosphere, spread the spirit of innovation and determination for an effective and practical new school year 2025 - 2026.
