Procession of palanquin and memorial tablet of famous person Ngo Thi Si from Tam Giao pagoda (Nhi Thanh cave) to Tam Thanh pagoda (Tam Thanh cave)
– On the morning of February 24 (January 15, the year of the Dragon), the People's Committee of Tam Thanh ward, Lang Son city held the opening ceremony of the Tam Thanh Pagoda - Tam Giao festival in 2024.

The Nhi-Tam Thanh scenic relic site stretches along the arc mountain range in the Northwest of Lang Son city and is known as one of the eight beautiful landscapes of Lang, including 4 points: Nhi Thanh cave, Tam Thanh pagoda, Mac citadel, To Thi mountain. The festival is held to commemorate the merits of Governor Ngo Thi Sy - a mandarin of the Le Dynasty who was sent to Lang Son. In Lang Son, besides taking care of protecting the border and pacifying the people, he left behind many literary and poetic legacies praising the beauty of Lang Son, including the discovery and restoration of Nhi Thanh cave (the cave's name is named after his religious name, Nhi Thanh Cu Si).

At the opening ceremony, delegates, locals and visitors enjoyed unique performances imbued with national identity; and participated in folk games such as stick pushing, chess, bamboo dancing, etc.

The highlight of the Tam Thanh Pagoda Festival is the procession of the palanquin and the tablet of Governor Ngo Thi Si from Tam Giao Pagoda (Nhi Thanh Cave) to Tam Thanh Pagoda (Tam Thanh Cave) in the morning and back in the afternoon. The procession passes through several main streets of the city: Nhi Thanh, Tran Dang Ninh, Tam Thanh, To Thi and Le Hong Phong.

The festival is an occasion to commemorate and show gratitude for the contributions of Governor Ngo Thi Si to Lang Son land, contributing to educating historical and cultural traditions, pride in ancestors and heroes who have contributed to the people and the country in a profound way.
