Completely overcome the problem of unfairness in university admissions

The Ministry of Education and Training has just issued a document guiding the implementation of tasks for the 2024-2025 school year for universities and pedagogical colleges.

Accordingly, the Ministry requires units and schools to continue to promote implementation and complete well the tasks of the industry, create strong changes in the quality of training and research; make strategic breakthroughs in human resources, especially high-quality human resources in key fields and industries.

Units complete development strategies, consolidate organizational structures; strongly innovate training programs and methods; increase the application of digital technology , especially artificial intelligence, in the entire higher education system. At the same time, innovate teaching and learning methods, exams and tests, and assessments, creating positive impacts on general education innovation.

Schools also promote training, fostering, attracting and developing a team of highly qualified lecturers, scientists and leading experts, especially in a number of key, key and high-tech industries and fields; focusing on the semiconductor industry, artificial intelligence, cyber security, biotechnology and green energy.

One of the notable contents, the Ministry of Education and Training requires schools to complete the 2024 enrollment work according to the general plan, ensuring the implementation of the targets and methods announced in the Project, in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and of the training institution; strictly control risks and promptly handle arising issues.

In particular, complete and promptly announce admission methods from 2025 onwards, thoroughly overcome the problem of unfairness and lack of trust in admission methods and criteria; ensure consistency with the 2018 General Education Program, and at the same time have a positive impact on teaching and learning activities in general education.

Training institutions with teacher training majors proactively work with the People's Committees of provinces and cities and propose to the direct management agencies on assigning training tasks and registering enrollment targets according to the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training to effectively implement Decree No. 71/2020/ND-CP and Decree No. 116/2020/ND-CP of the Government.
