In Group A, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team will compete with Cambodia, Indonesia and Thailand in a round robin to compete for the top two spots in the semi-finals.

Vietnam women's team entered the semi-finals with the top spot in the group.

In the first two matches, the Vietnamese women's team won 6-0 and 7-0 against Cambodia and Indonesia respectively.

On the evening of August 12, the Vietnamese girls entered the "final" match of Group A with Thailand, the team leading the group thanks to a 7-0 win over Cambodia and Indonesia.

With home field advantage, the Vietnamese women's team is determined to win against Thailand to take first place in the group, thereby avoiding the first team of group B in the semi-finals.

The home girls played better than their opponents, creating many scoring opportunities and one of them was converted by Thu Thao into the only goal in the 36th minute.

At the end of the group stage, the Vietnamese women's team won first place in Group A with 9 absolute points after 3 wins, scoring 14 goals and conceding no goals.

Coach Mai Duc Chung and his team entered the semi-finals and will meet the second team in Group B on August 16.

Meanwhile, the Thai women's team will meet the top team in Group B in the last 4 round.

Currently in Group B, Myanmar is leading with 6 points, followed by defending champion Philippines and Australia (both with 3 points), while Timor Leste has not scored any points, ranking at the bottom of the table.

In the final match this evening, August 13, Australia will meet Timor Leste, while Myanmar will face the Philippines.
