Green running guide for runners

The race is a bond that connects people who love healthy lifestyles, green living, and spreads the message of living responsibly towards the environment. Therefore, the organizers have provided detailed instructions to the participating athletes to move towards green running. Accordingly, the athletes participating in the race are advised to choose environmentally friendly equipment that can significantly reduce negative impacts on the environment.

According to the 2019 United Nations Environment Programme, washing clothes alone releases about half a million tonnes of microplastics into the ocean each year – the equivalent of nearly 3 billion polyester T-shirts.

Therefore, the organizers recommend that runners invest in durable products so they don't have to replace and buy new ones frequently, prioritize green brands, and look for companies that use recycled materials with sustainable production processes.

The organizers also recommend that runners extend the "lifespan" of their products by properly preserving and caring for their shoes and clothing for longer use, reducing waste, and reusing and repairing them when possible.

Runners participating in the race are also encouraged to use reusable water bottles; limit bringing snacks with plastic packaging; combine running with picking up trash on the street...

The My Vietnam 2025 Run is also the event to kick off a series of activities to celebrate National Day 2.9, associated with the Exhibition of 80 years of national achievements, gathering a large number of people, tourists and the sports- loving community. The event is jointly organized by Vinhomes Joint Stock Company, Zaha Vietnam, together with the Vietnam Athletics Federation, UNDP and relevant agencies.

With the theme “Fierce Vietnamese Spirit”, the race is a tribute to the generations of fathers who sacrificed for independence and freedom, and an opportunity to look back on the 80-year journey of building and developing the country. Tens of thousands of athletes wearing the red shirt with yellow star will create a vivid symbol of patriotism, aspiration to rise up and national solidarity in the era of integration.
